<~He who is the Darkness. He who Runs my soul. ~>

I was floating in clouds. They were light as feathers but textured as foam. Where I was, time meant nothing. Surrounded by peace, the flow was soft against my skin. All was good until a noise so morbid made me open my eyes. And when I did, I wished I haven't. The magic surrounding me was colourless, so much like water yet air. The current was fast. Dragging me further down the flow and soon the peace ended. The sounds of terrifying pain where whispers were coming from the end tunnel mingled in the air. I looked for anything to grasp only to see nothing that stuck out. The walls weren't made of soil, I didn't know what it was. When I grabbed for the tender surface it came away in black muddy chunks.

I choked in the moment, and wrapped a hand around my throat. The panic, it dwelled in my veins and made itself known. The walls suddenly narrowed and the whispers turned to screams. I saw no one, felt nothing as the tunnel spat me out like a cannon. My legs swung in all possible directions as a flow of a different current took a hold of me.

My mind was muddled when I landed on the cold ground. My eyes jumped on the fantoms that crowded around me.
They haven't said a thing only stared with their empty eyes or where'd their eyes would be. I raised my hands in alarm, they didn't strike me just seemed to shiver in curiosity.

"Step aside. MOVE!" It was a manly voice, a familiar one too.

I wanted to speak, to question, to know where I was. But all questions melted away when I was crushed into a heavy chest. I felt him between my hands, actually felt his skin with mine. Even if his was grey, almost transparent. Even if he blended with the rest of them.

Last time I saw him was when Alec's mother stabbed my friend with a dagger.

My voice rasped with emotion and he held me tighter.

"Jake."

We sat on the ground, mind and soul smiling at each other. It felt like a reunion that was never going to happen. Never supposed to happen.

I could gaze at him in silence as Jake spoke eagerly about his stay here. Wherever we both were. He explained the details of death as a light that slowly expanded and surrounded him. It was blackness and then everything exploded in his senses. He had a clear picture of what the Underworld looked like too. The only thing I didn't understand was why he was here. Was this the resting place for every soul? Or was this a territory of unfinished businesses? Because Jake wasn't at peace. I wasn't at peace. So, I was dead? I had to be.

"Then he demanded that I told him what I meant to you and-"

"Who was he?" My mind swirled, dread rolled in my stomach.

"I don't know. I don't think it was my place to ask." Jake shrugged his shoulders.

"Although he did scare the shit out me." Jake admitted through gritted teeth. "He glided in shadows. Glided. I've seen many things but that one melted from one shadow into the next. I.."

Then his eyes flitted to mine as I listened carefully to him rant or rather wonder why Hades required such information from him.
"Did that man put you here?"

"Yeah, he summoned an ugly thing. I know it's hard to believe but it was a skeleton." Jake looked at me suddenly. "You believe me right? Right Lexi?!"
