Skylar's POV
I decided to head home in time for dinner. The guys have been playing Call Of Duty all day. And I know how much my mom misses me around, and lately I've been sneaking around with Luke and hanging with Calum and Michael. I just feel bad. I say goodbye to the guys and get in my car. The ride seemed much longer going home, my thoughts were just flooding everywhere. And I know I should tell my mom about Luke and I, but I can't. She'll be disappointed.
I pulled into the driveway, and got out of the car. Luke wasn't outside like he usually was. Strange. I headed inside to see my mom sitting at the Island, and she had a look of... I couldn't really tell, but it was more of, disappointment mixed with understanding. I grabbed a coke out of the fridge and stood across from her at the Island.
"What's is Mom," I say. She looks up and she doesn't say a word, just her face is mixed with everything she could be possibly be wanting to say. That's how my mother is.
"Liz came over earlier," she begins. I nod for her to continue, knowing where this was going to. "She told me how grateful she was for you. How her son, Luke, is going through a hard time to recoup. How he was peered pressure into drugs, and when your around his temper is down." She pauses for a moment. "Your dating Luke."
I swallow a big gulp of air. She found out, and she's disappointment in me for betraying her. "Mom, it's not what you think." I try to say.
"Then what is it?" Her voice raises a little louder.
My eyes get watery. "Luke isn't like what you see. When you get to know him, he's the sweetest boy ever. He sings, plays the guitar, he's really good at soccer. He has a strong love for penguins that's adorable. Yes, he may have tempers but that's not all to Luke." I defend for Luke.
"I always thought you would end up with Michael." She says quietly. But I shake my head no. "Just don't get hurt by Luke."
I walk over to her, and give her a big hug. "I won't." I kiss her cheek and we stay in quiet for a moment.
