I live with Brendan and Stefani August. They are my mom and dad. My name is Summer August. I have wavy brown hair with blonde highlights. My eyes are emerald green. The majority of my life is pretty Normal, but my dad; Brendan August is really good friends with the Travel Channel hit show crew, Ghost Adventures. He met Aaron Goodwin during his college years. Then Aaron hooked up with Zak Bagans and Nick Groff. Now the four of them are tight! Sometimes, when the boys are on an off season, they come over to the house to chill. I have never personally met them because I had to go out everytime. So I was awaiting another time that they would swing by. My birthday was in a couple days and I would be turning 16. I hoped maybe then, I could meet them. I had seen the show many times and loved it everytime I watched it.

"Summer! Sweetie can you come here?" My mom called from the kitchen. I hopped up from the couch and paused the most recent episode of Ghost Adventures. I skidded through the dining room and into the kitchen on my fluffly white socks. I stopped right in front of my parents. They grinned at me. Both of them knew I was a free and wild spirit. They accpeted it.

"Yep?" I asked. I leaned forward on the table and picked at the fake fruit on the table.

"So you do know that your birthday is coming up?" My mom asked. I laughed and nodded my head.

"Yes, I do. I also know our address and the ABC's." I giggled.

"Your father and I know that you love the show Ghost Adventures...and I think we both know that your father has close bonds with them..." My mom paused and let me feel the anticipation. "We were thinking that maybe...oh maybe, we could have them drop by. Since it is their off season." She said ever so casually. I stood up straight and threw my hands in my curly/wavy hair.

"No way! Really?!?!?! Really? You're not joking with me?" I asked. I looked my dad straight in the eye. His light eyes shined.

"We are not joking. We are serious. They are staying in the spare bedrooms. They will be coming in two days though, so I suggest that you should clean up your room." My mom told me. She had turned slightly serious but still was happy that I was happy.

"Okay! Will do!" I ran from the kitchen back to the couch, switched it off, then dashed up the marble stairs. My hot feet felt so good on the white marble.

My family...was rich. I hated to admit it, but we were. My parents were not the snooty rich people. They were actaully pretty cool. We lived in California, right on the beach front. My room overlooked the beach. I felt so lucky that we lived here.

When I reached my door, I opened it and skipped in, happy to see my own room. It was covered wall to wall in celebrity posters and drawings, Poem, and awards. A majority of the awards were awards from writing competitions I had entered and won in. My bed was against the bay window. I usually crawled across the bed and onto the bay window to look out on the beach. The dark satin purple color shined off my walls. I jumped over to my Ipod and play my Michael Franti playlist. Once the music started, I began to clean up. I spun in circles and danced around the room, while picking up dirty clothes and trashed notes. I hung up my swim suit which was a sun yellow string bikini. I was going to use that soon. Once school was out. Today was saturday and the guys from G.A (Ghost Adventures) were coming over Monday. I cleaned up my closet and tidied up the clothes in it. While cleaning, I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I said in a sing song voice.

"Hey! I heard that your guys are coming over Monday!" My brother, Joeseph, who was a year older than me spoke.

"Yeah! I get to meet them for the first time!" I jumped with joy.

"Good for you! I already met them. Hey if mom or dad ask, I'm out at the beach. Like usual." Joe pulled the thumbs up sign and sarcastic voice at me, then told me to give a message to the parents.
