Day Eight: Car Troubles & Jaxon

"There's a car following me, in broad daylight." I tell the operator.

He chuckled and then coughed. "Look kid, I've been doing my job for years. You're safe if there are people around you."

I rolled my eyes and picked up my pace. "I'm not safe, I could get kidnapped anyway even if there are people around."

"Is this a prank call, if so please just hang up." He said.

"I'm not trying to sound dramatic or anything but I might die and it will be all your fault." I say into the phone.

Instead of going home I walk a different way towards some shops hoping the car would leave, I turn around and look behind me.

I had no luck because the car was still following me. I walk inside a nearby store and hang up on the man.

It wasn't overly crowed but there was enough people in here to see if anything went down.

I stare out the shop window and watch as the car parks in front of the store and the engine shuts down.

"Hello miss, how can I help you." I jump at the sound of the voice and relax when I see that it's just a worker.

His name tag said Jaxon.

"Uh, I don't really need help Jaxon." I say.

He doesn't even stop to process that I already know his name he just keeps smiling at me.

"Girl you look paranoid. Is something bothering you?" He asked.

"No, no. Just-" I stop talking, wondering if I should tell him the truth. "There's this car that's been following me around, I'm worried."

He laughs and looks out the window to where the car once was.

"Seems as though you have a stalker, oh the things I would do to get one." He winks at me after he says this.

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Wouldn't your girlfriend get mad?" I teased.

"No but my boyfriend would, he gets jealous easily." Jaxon admits.

I laugh and he grins at me. "Well I hope your boyfriend is as nice as you." I said.

"Maybe, but I do tend to act like a faggot sometimes."

I gasp. "Don't say that word."

He gives me a look. "Bitch I'm gay, I can say it."

We look at each other before we both bust out laughing. I gets do bad that people start to look and I'm holding onto my stomach.

"Omg, you have to meet Piper, she'd love you." I say.

"Really? Well I'm free tonight, I can even bring over my man." He said snapping his fingers.

"Extra and cringe. Two words that popped up in my mind. But yeah stop by tonight at my house." I tell him.

He hands me his phone and I input my phone number in his phone.

"So you know my name but I don't know your name." He said.

"I'm Elena Perkins- Carter due to somewhat adoption." I say.

"Cool, about that adoption part. Okay well I gotta get back to work Elena bye girl." Jaxon says.

I wave goodbye and exit the shop. I walk back home the correct way and I make a mental note to tell them all off.
