Day Ten: Bad Omens & Daddy Issues

"Elena!" Asher pops into view, blocking my easiest to way out the house.

"Aw come on," I beg. "It was a one time thing."

He raises his eyebrow and I sigh. He really needs to give me a break.

"It was twice but-" He cuts me off.

"What the hell are you rambling about?" He asked.

"What did you stop me for?" I asked back.

"I was going to ask you to watch Emily, what were you talking about?"

"Nothing!" I say quickly. "Nothing at all."

"What happened twice?" He asks me with a stern look on his face.

"Nothing!" I shout.

"Did you lose your virginity?" He prods.

"Asher!" I exclaimed. "No, me and Ryder kissed twice."

He eyes me, not believing me. But then shrugs.

"Okay, so how about it?" He asks.

"Yeah, sure." I complied. "How much you paying me?"

He stares at me with a look on his face saying; is this bitch joking? But I'm not.

"You're kidding." He says. "You've got to be."

"Only I'm not." I said. "College ain't no joke and I'm somewhat broke."

"Asshole." He hands me a fifty and leaves out the front door.

"So, we kissed twice?" Ryder appears out of thin air.

I jump back and clutch my chest. What the fuck? He couldn't have tapped me or made some noise before speaking.

"You should see your face right now," he laughs. "Red all over."

"If you're going to make fun of me do it when I'm not here."

I turn to walk away but he pulls me back.

"Relax beautiful." He says pushing my hair behind my ear.

"Oh please, you think I'm going to fall for you again?" I rhetorically asked.

"Well duh." He said. "And you're going to love me."

"Sounds demanded." I chide.

"Sounds amazing." He counters.

His hands travel down to my waste and grip them hard. Pulling me closer to his body.

"I've never loved you." I snarl.

"Lies, I know they are." He gets close to my face.

Okay, why the hell won't he leave me alone? Like I seriously don't want to be put through that bullshit he called live again.

"Listen Ryder, I've never loved you. I thought I did but I was attached to you because you were helping me," I said. "I don't ever want to love a man as disoriented as you were."

I push him and he lets me go, his eyes shining with disappointment. I walk pass him and out the door to pick Emily up for Piper's house.

Not once looking back to see Ryder.

"I don't think I should do this." Piper says biting her lip.

"Oh come on!" I exclaim. "You didn't stare at him in highschool all that time for nothing."

"Emily-"

"Will be fine with me." I cut her off.

She sighs but goes back in the bathroom to change into the dress I picked out for her.
