Chapter 1

ALICE POV. ~

BEEP BEEP BEEP

Ugh, today is monday. We only have three days until christmas and I'm going to school. This sucks, I'm only going cause my grades are bad. Ok, let me tell you about me.

I live in Brazil, my name is Alice Player, I'm 14 and I love to dance. Dance is my life, I don't know what I would do without my dance classes. I actually am really good at it, like I travel a lot to take classes with really good teachers and I already won a looooot of dance competitions. Everything thanks to my parents, they are so cool, I love them so much. By the way, my parents are one of the owners of youtube and google, so yeah, money is not the problem for us. I also have one brother, David, he is 17.

Anyways... I get up and go get ready, I shower and choose my outfit, I'm not that type o girl that spent four hours picking the outfit and doing the make up and the hair, but I still care with what I'm wearing. I pick up black shorts with my Paramore shirt and my black vans. My hair is naturally straight and I don't really wear make up so I just go downstairs to eat breakfast. Mom and dad aren't home so is just me and David.

"BOM DIA PRINCESAAAA" he said with a smile. It means "good morning princess" in english. I really don't know how he is so happy, cmon is a MONDAY MORNING. I just said "hey" and grab an apple cause Ana and her mom are already outside. Ana is my best friend, I met her in a dance workshop in L.A and then I found out she lived down the street, so cool right? On the way to our school all Ana talked about was this workshop with Bobby Newberry in two weeks at the dance studio we met, I mean, cmon we have to go. I called dad and he said it was ok, so did Ana's mom, so YEAAAH WE'RE GOING. I was so excited I couldnt wait to go back home so I could buy the plane tickets and sign us in. I didn't really paid attention to the classes, I mean, I'm the next owner of google, and I wanna be a professional dancer too, so physic really isn't something to worry about. When I got home I ran to my room and my dad was there! He is not home very often so I missed him, I hugged him and he said he already had the plane tickets so I just needed to sign in. After this I started to stretch, I stretch every single day, my room is like a dance room, it has a huge mirror and the flor is made of wood, my parents did this way so I could practice whenever I want. By the way today was the last day of school before christmas break, there is an party but I'm so tired I'm just going to sleep.

I wake up with someone texting me... It was Ana. She just sent me nine texts telling me to go get ready, Jesus this girl have to chill. I shower and pick a white dress with my combats and Ana is already at the door. I just told her to come in and wait. I walked to my parents room so I can wake them up and tell them that I'm going out with Ana. After I hug them we go, we are 14 so we just walk to the mall cause we can't drive and is not that far away. I got my mom an necklace, my brother a new phone, and my dad a new shirt so he could give me one of his old shirts. I love sleeping on them, they are so big on me and they smell like him, so when I miss him I just sleep on his old shirts. After five hours shopping feet started to hurt and Ana wanted to stay a little more so I said I was going home. When I was getting close I saw a lot of lights and ambulances in front of my house, I didnt know what to do so I kept walking and when I was almost at the door a police officer came to talk to me.

"Hey are you Alice Player? Sorry I don't speak portuguese, I hope you understand" he said. Of course I understand him, I speak portuguese, english and french. "Yeah I understand you, what's going on? I have to talk to my dad..." "Yeah we can talk about this at the police station, your social worker is going to meet us there, lets go."
