*Day Time*
I wake up around noon the next day and I can feel my head pounding and my mouth is dry. I walk down to the kitchen and get myself a glass of water then make one for Sinclair and bring it up to him. When I enter the room he's still fast asleep not wanting to wake him I gently set the glass on the table and turn to leave. Suddenly his phone goes off and it startles him awake. He picks up his phone reads the caller ID then lets out a big sigh and answers the phone.
"Hey Emily." He says his voice low and hoarse from just waking up and his throat being dry. I could hear Emily yelling at him frantically from the other end as he holds the phone away from his ear.
"Where have you been I've been calling you for two days. What am I just not good enough for you to call me back or something."
"Firstly I just woke up so stop yelling at me and secondly I haven't called you back because I don't wanna talk to you. You're so boring, we have nothing in common and you practically hate all the things that I like and not to mention you little bitch I heard what you've been doing behind my back so frankly I don't wanna ever see you again, we're done. Now stop calling me because I have stuff I gotta do, bye." He hangs up the phone and looks at me.
"Morning." I say and pick up the glass of water I brought him and hand it to him. He takes it and he drinks all of it before saying.
"Morning thanks for the water."
"Not a problem." I say as my phone starts to ring. I pick up the phone and see it's Emily calling. I hold up a finger to Sinclair and answer the phone.
"Hello?"
"He broke up with me." She says in an angry voice.
"Dang why?" I ask pretending like I don't already know.
"He said that someone told him I was cheating on him and broke up with me." She says still angry. I put the phone on speaker.
"Well did you?" I ask hoping she'd tell the truth.
"Yea and now that he broke up with me I don't have to sneak around anymore." She says with what sounds like sadness in her voice.
"So does that mean you're glad he's gone or no?" I ask looking over at Sinclair.
"No it's no fun now that I don't have to sneak around." She says. I roll my eyes and before I know it I say.
"Girl quit being a hoe."
"Excuse me?" She asks astonished.
"I said quit being a hoe."
"I am not a hoe." She says in protest.
"Bitch you are the definition of a hoe. I'm glad he broke up with your ass you don't deserve him anyway. Bitch I gotta go I don't want you rubbing off on me." I say and hang up the phone. I look back at Sinclair and he's smiling.
"What?" I ask and start smiling back at him.
"That was awesome." He says and starts laughing. I join him on the bed and laugh with him. After a minute or two the laughing stops and we head down stairs.
"What do you want for lunch?" I ask as we enter the kitchen.
"Surprise me." He says and leans against the bar. I think for a second then walk to the pantry and pull out Raman Noodles.
"Ok." I say and put a big pot in the sink and start filling it with water.
"Good morning." Mom says as she enters the room.
"Good morning." Sinclair and I say at the same time, as I put the pot on the stove.
"What are you making?" Mom asks as she walks over to the coffee maker and turns it on.
"Ramen Noodles, you want some?" I ask and put the blocks of noodles into the pot.
"No thanks I'm not hungry but I'll ask your dad if he wants some." She says and gets a coffee cup out the cabinet.
"None for me either and your brother isn't here so he doesn't want any." Dad says as he sits at the bar next to Sinclair.
"Alright I guess it's just you and me Sinclair." I say looking at him. He shrugs and says.
"Yea I guess so."
"Well we should go start packing." Mom says as she gives dad his cup of coffee.
"What, you're leaving?" I ask confused.
"Yea, we've been here for a few days and I miss my bed." Mom says looking at me.
"Well, ok I guess I'd start missing my bed too if I were gone for so long." I say smiling.
"Come on honey we need to go pack." Mom says to dad and they get up and leave the room. I check on the noodles then go to the fridge and grab some orange juice.
"You want some?" I ask waving the bottle.
"Sure." He says and rubs his still sore head. I grab us some glasses and set them on the bar and pour the orange juice into them, but before I give Sinclair his glass I reach into a different cabinet and take out some headache relief then slide both his drink and the pills to him. He looks up and sees the pills and a smile plays on his lips, then he looks up at me and says.
"Thank you, you knew just what I needed."
"No problem." I say smiling back. I check on the noodles again and they're finally done so I strain them into the sink and pour the flavoring onto the noodles then grab two bowls from the cabinet and put the noodles into them then grab forks from the drawer and hand Sinclair his.
"Thanks." He says then blesses his food and eats.
"No problem." I say as I do the same.
