Chapter17

**Time Skip to 3 o'clock**

"Well your resume is impeccable Miss. Mason I've never seen a resume this incredible from a woman so young." John says and lays my resume down on his desk.

"Thank you Mr. Ray I do work very hard."

"Mr. Ray is my dad please call me John."

"Ok John."

"Well I feel that you would make a perfect fit for the job Miss. Mason."

"Thank you John I'm glad to hear that." I say and smile.

"Well you can start Saturday. Welcome to the family Angel." He says and shakes my hand as I walk out of his office. I wave goodbye as I walk out of the bar and my phone rings.

"Hello?"

"Hey how did the interview go?" Sinclair says in a cheerful voice.

"It went great I got the job and I start Saturday. How are you and your GiRlFRiEnD doing?" I ask and let out a slight giggle.

"Stop that she's not my girlfriend we're just friends."

"Mmhmm."

"Don't mmhmm me missy you forget I know all of your secrets."

"You wouldn't dare!"

"Oh but I would bwahahaha."

"Hahaha alright I'll stop, but seriously how is everything going?"

"Good, her and I are gonna watch a movie."

"Fun Fun, well I'm gonna go home and watch one myself.Ya'll have fun but not to much fun wink wink."

"Blah blah blah bye Angel."

"Bye Sinclair." I say and cross the street to my car and head home.

I make it home at about 6:00 and go to the livingroom to watch a movie. I flop on the couch and grab the remote and turn on the TV. I put on Netflix and start clicking through the horror movie section. I'm about 30 minutes into Shush when I get a really bad feeling.

"Sinclair is everything alright I just got a huge wave of bad vibes coming from you?" I ask telepathically and wait for his response.I wait a few and get no answer.

"Sinclair talk to me is everything OK?" I ask and wait again for his response. I am just about to try again when I hear a loud crash followed by a boom in the forest outside my house. I searched for a seant and the one I found belonged to Sinclair. I immediately got up and ran out the back door towards where the crash came from. I was running as fast as I could to reach Sinclair before something bad happened to him. I started running past broken trees, some either broken in half or completely up rooted. I followed the sound of breaking trees and the sound got louder and louder the closer I got. I ran faster and caught a glimpse of a huge hairy creature with black fur and a long tail that seemed to be 5x the size of a bear. I got closer to the creature avoiding falling and flying trees and finally saw its face I instantly knew who it was and how to stop his rampage. I looked around me for something to jump off of and found a tree, I increased my speed and and jumped off the tree and onto the his back. I held on to his fur as the wind whipped through my hair and started looking for something I could use to knock him out, just like last time the trees came to the rescue. I grabbed a huge branch from a nearby tree and reared it back then swung it down hard on his head knocking him out. He fell and started to shrink to his normal size losing his fur, muzzle, and tail. I looked down at man lying unconscious on the ground and shook my head with sadness.

"What would drive you to do this Sinclair? I've never seen you this angry before." I say grabbing his arm and draping it over my shoulders.

"Well whatever the reason I gotta get you home." I say and start dragging him back to my house.
