I cower in the corner
Hiding away from the idea
That I could've lost you
In any way.
I cower
And watch
As someone so stubborn and lovely
Is torn from me
'You can't take her!' I scream
But what good is it?
'You've already let her go!' Shadows
Sneer and bare their teeth.
I fall to my knees and watch
As she's dragged away
While I'm held back by
Distance and Misconnection
'You need to let her go.'
Other voices whisper.
But I whimper and try to cling
To the remaining memories and love
'I will never ever lethergo.'
