The police turned up to investigate what had happen. They interviewed the injured before sending them to hospital. The man that had been cruelly catapulted had already been transported to the hospital with the worst injuries, a possible spinal fracture and broken arm. The police sergeant decided that it was absolutely impossible for a tree to do what they had been told, after careful consideration of all options, it was decided that it must be mechanical and someone has to be controlling it.
More police were called with a canine unit, paramedics and the police helicopter, to search for the people they believed to be controlling the tree. The police split up and started to search the area, looking for clues, to find evidence of the people controlling the tree. Some of the other officers put on what looked like riot gear, so it was safe for them to get incredibly close. It was those poor sods job to get samples of the trunk and look for electronics etc.
The paramedics sat in the ambulance waiting watching. Police with a camera and radio did the same. The Sergeant nodded to the two men as they edged slowly towards the tree, nothing was happening, "typical we all get here and they f***ed off" he crossly said. One of the police men started a closer inspection, he looked around the trunk and under branch's, the other got his knife, he began to cut into the trunk to get a sample, A branch suddenly hit him down hard, a root grabbed, took hold of his leg and started to pull, he struggled. The other man had to try and help, branches swung hitting, casting him away hard into watching men, like a bowling ball, strike, down they fell.
It was worse for the other, roots pulled his leg harder, pulling right up to his crotch, his screams, could be heard miles away, everybody stopped and looked. Police pins gathered themselves what should they do??? The paramedics began to treat injured officers, "we need to get to that man", one said with tears in his eyes. The helicopter flew overhead, radio said nothing to report, we will keep searching. What can they do, they need to help the man and find out who is doing this as soon as possible. The oak answered all the questions, a branch wrapped itself around the guys leg then pulled him viciously, pulling him out of the ground with one sharp movement, blood spurting, and another bowling ball was sent.
He landed in a scrunched up heap, everyone ran to attend to him. is he dead? Move back give me room to attend to the patient, the paramedics checked his heart, "he is still with us but only just", they checked his airway, gave him oxygen and started to remove his riot gear and clothes slowly with care, they needed to see his injuries. Blood started spurting out of his groin uncontrollably, when his trousers were cut away. Quickly press down "call the air ambulance NOW we may lose him". One of the police officers pressed down trying to stop the blood flowing, while the paramedics checked his head, and monitored his heart. They got more pads to control the blood and dressings, his arm had a bone protruding out of it, bleeding. The call was made to just wrap it and put it in a sling. They need to get him transported to hospital as soon as possible or he will die. The blood puddle getting bigger...
