Chapter 4: Ending On Good Terms

Finally making it home from the 5 minute walk from school. I quickly unlocked the door and dragged myself in the house. Dropping my backpack on the couch I went straight to the kitchen to feed my hunger. ' I probably should have eaten breakfast this morning' I thought to myself as I grab a box of poptarts and pulled one out. Not bothering to put it in the toaster I went straight for the front door again and opened it. I looked outside to see if I could see Treys bus coming but it wasn't in sight. Walking outside and sitting on the steps of our front porch I pulled out my phone to check the time. It was 3:58 so he should be here any second. Since I was on my phone I went and scrolled through my texts and saw I had 3. Two messages were from numbers I didn't recognize so I skipped over them. The other was from Rose.

From: Rose

Dude how was your first day? It sucks that we don't have lunch together.

From: Jay

My day was okay! -.- And yeah it does suck that we don't have lunch or any classes together.

From: Rose

Do you have any classes with Kelly, Nancy, Or Josh. And um new boy. Oh speaking of Josh did you guys patch things up??

From: Jay

Nope I don't have any classes with them. And i'd rather not speak about Josh. Hey i'll text you later.

From: Rose

Mkay! I hope you two work things out. Keep your head up Boo!!

I just smiled at the text she sent. Rose always knew how to cheer me up. I went back to the unknown numbers that texted me and clicked on one.

Hey this is Noah I'm sorry for what I said and stuff. I shouldn't be trying to tell you what to do.

'Hmmm' I thought looking over his apology trying decided whether or not it was acceptable. "Fuck it" I said saving his number in my phone.

From: Jay

You gotta do better than that honey if you wanna get me back!! LOL ;)

From: Noah

Well thats as good as it's gonna get Honey Boo Boo Child! (Snaps Finger)

I couldn't help burst out into laughter. It was the most random thing i've ever heard.

From: Jay

Wtf Honey Boo Boo Child?? Lmao whatever. Were cool I guess!! But i'll talk to you tomorrow.

I was about to see who the other person was that texted me, but I got side tracked when Treys bus pulled up. Getting up and stretching my back. I began to make my way to the front door of the bus. As soon as they opened I was attacked by Trey who had just leaped off the steps of the bus. His ass is lucky I caught him and didn't move to the side and let him face plant on the road.

"Jay!!" He screamed with excitement.

"Good lord Trey do you not know that you're heavy ass hell" I said placing him down on the curb.

"How was your first day?" I asked

"It was super fun!!"

"See I told you it wouldn't be so bad."

"You were right! Everyone thinks im cool because I am super smart in class" he said.

"See all that tutoring I gave you payed off didn't it."
