Chapter 2: The House at the End of the Road

~Reece's POV~

*ring* *ring* *ring*

My alarm clock woke me up. It's hard to see when you wake up in a dark room that even sunlight can't pass through the curtains. Stupid maids. I look at my alarm clock and its 7 in the morning and I can't see the sun for these cursed curtains that blocks the light. I walked to my window and opened the curtains and the balcony door. The sting that sunlight gives me after I opened it, is so refreshing. I can feel the warm breeze.

As I open my eyes, I saw a car that attracted my eyes like never before. I watch it as it runs all the way at the end of the road of our little town. I see a lady and his son, probably the ones who bought that cool house. As I watch them, I can see something I seldom see in this place. A gay. "Another one" I said to myself. I was laughing at him for he looks like a freak in what his wearing, and then jumps up and down like a little girl as he saw a really big pool at the back of their new house. "What a fag." I thought to myself and go in to my room again. Got dressed and went down for breakfast.

"Mom? Do you know who bought that big house at the end of the road?" I asked my mom.

"Well. I think it's the Alivia's." Mom said.

Alivia. What a funny name for a family.

"I heard that they came from a place least commonly know." mom continued.

"And their son is gay." I said to my mom.

"So? At least his brave enough to show himself. Unlike others that don't" mom said.

"And being gay is alright. That's what they really are. And we must respect them like we respect ourselves." Mom said.

Respect? Who talks shit like this?

Oh! By the way. I don't have a father. My dad died in an accident when he was rushing to get to the hospital when my mom was giving delivery.

So I finished my breakfast and head for the door.

"We are you going?" mom asked.

"Going for a walk." I said to my mom.

"Good. Now take this to our new neighbours." Mom said as he handed me a freshly made apple pie. Apple pie is one of my mom's specialties.

"What?! Why can't you do it?" I said to my mom.

"I'm busy." mom said.

"Busy with what?" I asked but my mom never answered back.

*ugh* Do I really have to.

*sigh* guess I have to.

I closed the door behind me and started to walk.
