Right now, you were showing Jamison a invention in the process if fixing and reporting, a gravitational bomb that pulled things into its pull for an amount of time.
"Jamison, come here! Now!" You screamed, hiding behind the open doorway of the balcony - where it couldn't reach you. Jamison was still near the box it came from though, looking at it tick down.
"Jamison!" You screamed, which made him look back to you
'5' it ticked, he realised and picked up your rat and started to sprint to you
'4-1' oh, forgot that it skipped numbers. It blew up and a giant surge ripped Jamison into its pull, trees bending towards it behind the balcony. He let out a petrified squeal as your rat just burried itself in his hair. You ran out the door and immediately got swept off the floor. Your arms, chest and baggy overalls all pulled towards it, which caused you to also scream in horror. It didn't hurt, it just felt really weird being taken from Earth's gravity. In a second, you went from being off of the floor, to flying at Jamison who couldn't move in the dark pull.
"Y/n! Stop it!" He yelled staring at you as you went hurdling at him
"I cant!" You screamed out, landing on him, your head rested on his shoulder, your eyes faced the dark blue center of it. It was scary to say the least. You couldnt feel your face, but at the same time your nose burned.
Then the pull ended and went back into the small metal box it shot out from. You collapsed onto the floor with Jamison and your rat.
"My back," He mumbled before sitting up, dragging you up with him, you burrowed your head into his chest and stayed on his lap. He started to giggle, curious; you looked up at him, which caused him to giggle more. You looked at him, his hair was a huge mess. "Your hair is everywhere and your nose is red," Jamison said through his giggles, you scoffed
"So's yours!" You said reaching your arms up into his hair and messing it up more
"Hey!" He said with a toothy smile and lightly shoved you off, your rat however stood atop his head like a ferret. "That was pretty fun," he said "apart from when you came hurdling at me, by ribs hurt" he added, pointing to his shirt. You looked there and nodded.
"I'll get mum or I can teach you basics of bombs?" You asked, looking back at him as you stood up, him following suit.
"I'll be here for a while so I'll go to your mum whilst you set things up?" He suggested and you nodded, walking past him to pick up the gravity bomb. "See you in a bit!" He said and walked off and you hummed in response so he knew. You were usually so protective with these, first time you mucked up.
It was fun though, you can't argue. Plus, it helped to know what to improve.

"y/n!" Your mother yelled, barging into your bedroom with Jamison being held by her "What did you do? He is bruised everywhere!" She yelled at you, which was a first since your father went to America. You shrunk slightly under her gaze, your heart hurt, you weren't used to this.
"Well mum.. I um.." you said trailing off, afraid you would cry under her frightening gaze as you didn't expect this. You looked to Jamison for back up, hoping he knew you had trouble talking.
"Ms l/n, we were testing out her experiments. It was her like - gravitation bomb?" He said unsurely but you nodded "and I stood near it even though she told me to move and it set off, which is when she started to move towards it to try and help; which only caused her to get stuck and hurdle into me," he concluded looking up at your mother whilst she listened
"Alright, I just don't want it happening again, or else I will take all of these," she said, looking at the roof and back to you "and break them all and throw them out at the Junkyard as scraps," she yelled, letting go of Jamison's shoulder and leaving my room, slamming the door. My eyes watered and I turned away from Jamison, grabbing more wires and items I needed. He placed his hand on my shoulder and rubbed it.
"Don't worry, parents get like that. Mine does too. They don't usually mean to hurt your feelings," he comforted. For a nearly ten year old he knew how to comfort people well.
Turning around, you hugged him needing the comfort that your father would give if he was here.
"I miss my dad," you said into his shirt as he hesitantly wrapped his arms around you.
"What happened to him?" He questioned you, his head resting on yours as he rubbed circles on your back.
"He moved to America a few years ago for work, he never told me what he did but he left in a blue uniform he has never worn," you said, smiling as you remembered him. "He said it was for the safety of everyone. At the time we couldn't leave our houses and were under lockdown."
Jamison nodded
"The Omnic crisis," he said and you nodded
"Mhm, he hasn't returned since, but I remember seeing him in a news report. It said he helped end it but that's all I remember," you finished. He pulled away and gave a sad smile and looked down at you
"Don't worry, my dad died during it so at least yours is still alive. My mum misses him and I need to help her, so I know what you're going through." He said in understanding, looking at what you had set out. "Let's start?" He said and you let go, nodding eagerly

Alright, it is a bit short but I'm trying to get into a habit so I will work on another soon. Because it doesn't say anything about Junkrats family, I'm doing this as a filler, hope you don't mind.
