Some notes at the end you should read (but I doubt you will)
---
"Your house is so big and tidy, miss!" You said in complete awe when you walked through the doors of Jamison's home with his mother. Jamison won't be home for a few hours so you have time to get used to your surroundings, set up and do whatever else to take up the time until he arrives. The house smelt odd of bleach and strawberries, and even more odd, it was a very pleasing scent together.
The house was decorated very modernly, with colours of whites and greys.
"I'm glad you like it, for the time being, you will be set up in Jamison's room until I tidy up the guest room of dust and any mess Jamison made with his figurines." His mother said kindly with a smile, shutting the door behind her as you stood in the massive opening room.
The house was oddly laid out like a mansion. A large room with the front door, embellished with fancy couches and carpets, a table and some books while a staircase connected to the wall near the small hallway. Down the hallway was another large room that had a kitchen and dining table in the one room, and from that room were large windows and glass doors at the back that led off into an extensive backyard. The bathroom door was connected to the small separated hallway; whose doors were kept open with those little door corners.
You whirled in a circle, taking in your surroundings. It was odd that a crazy kid like Jamison lived in such a posh household. "His bedroom is upstairs, the last door to the left if you want to set up. I'll come in later with a mattress and bedsheets for you to sleep on until the room is set up," she said nicely, returning one of the bags she held for you on the trip here in the car.
You nodded and took it with a smile, kicking your shoes off at the door and running up the white stairs, slipping slightly in your cotton socks.
Upstairs, however, didn't smell like bleach and strawberries, rather it adorned the smell of orange zest and vanilla. Very strange.
You wandered down the left hall from the staircase, passing a large veranda on the way. Twisting open the door, you pleaded for nothing bad, I mean, he is a boy coming of age - ignore that, actually.
You walked in and were pleasantly surprised with a tidy room.
Books stacked on shelves; colour coded. A desk with pen holders, a lamp, and a laptop. A bed perfectly made; without a crease on the doona and last but not least; a cupboard to hold his clothes.
In the free corner, you could only guess is where your mattress would be set up; given the bed was on the wall, left of the door, the desk was on the far left corner and the closet was to your right near the door. All that was left was the far right corner with shelves; stacked with impressive figurines, pop figures and, what you could only assume, were collectors books. You would never have taken him as the type of child to be a gaming and television collector like this.
It was impressive.
But sorry bedroom, this will soon be a mess now that you're here.
You set your bags down in the said corner and sat your bottom on the carpet.
"Oh my," you spoke to yourself as you completely flattened your back against the carpet.
It was hella mellow.
You did a snow angel in the carpet, lathering yourself in comfort; all the while mentally drowning in how lightweight and soft it was.
You let out an audible sigh of comfort, before forcing yourself to sit up; all the while reluctant to.
