Chapter 12. Healing by a Bond

~Caspian POV~

I rushed out of class when I felt it, I felt her fear and pain. I ran as fast as I could until I found her, leaning against the tree with blood pouring from her body. I took off my jacket and wrapped her up in it. I slowly picked her up and rushed her to the infirmary. There I was told to leave while the nurses tried their best to fix her. The whole time I was outside the door, sitting on the ground with my face in my hands. I couldn't protect her! I said I would and yet she's right in there bleeding out in pain. I felt the tears running down my face, memories of my family came flooding back. I couldn't protect them, after that I said that if I ever got something precious that I would die to protect it. Yet there it is, she's in pain and I couldn't stop it. Please great Nyx, save her. It was a few hours before the nurses came out, shaking their heads. They told me that her chances of surviving was low even for a fledgling, I clenched my fist as they walked passed me. Saying to say my final goodbyes. Once the nurses left, I walked inside and quickly found her. She was on the bed looking dead, her skin was pale and her once red lips have lost their color. She really looks like she was dying and right in front of me. I walked over and sat next to her bed, taking her hand in mine.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you. I'm sorry that you're here in pain, I wish that there was something I could do to heal your agony." I whispered then an idea came to mind.

It was forbidden but this could be the only thing that might save her. I raised my head and decided that I didn't have much of a choice. So I raised my wrist and took my sharp nail placing it on my skin. Cutting it deep enough for the blood to flow out, I placed my bleeding wrists to my mouth then leaned down. Placing my lips to her, I let the blood flow from my mouth to hers. I could felt her body jump from the taste, she slowly began moving. I pulled back and placed my wrist up to her mouth, her mouth opened and I could see her sharp fangs. They pierced my skin and the sensation was amazing, I wanted her to bite me more. It was like heavenly. Feeling my blood flowing from her to me, was to good. I leaned down and held her close.

"Keep drinking, take it all. I'm all yours." I said and it was giving her permission that her fangs bite down harder. Her hands reached out and gripped on my arm. I pulled her closer and let her have as much as she wanted. When she pulled back, she took the feeling I was getting. She laid down and began breathing heavy, I watched as her wound began healing. I sighed in relief, she was going to be just fine. She slowly fell back to sleep, now she looked peaceful. "Sleep now my Queen, everything will be just fine. I am here to keep you safe." I whispered to her, kissing her head and laying my head down. Allowing my body to heal and recover from the blood that was taken from me. I missed the feelings she gave me, I would have to look into what that was.

~Raven POV~

Where am I? What happened to me? Why does my body hurts? Please make the pain go away. That's when I tasted something amazing, it was flowing into my mouth. It tasted so good, I want more. When I had my fill I felt relaxed and the pain was gone. I slowly opened my eyes to find a black bird looking at me in Nikki's arms.

"Hey." I whispered, she looked over and smiled.

"I happy you pulled through. If Caspian hadn't done that then you could have died." She said, I was confused.

"What do you mean?" I asked her, she sighed.

"Caspian did something that no fledgling should do. He may have forced it but you accepted. You two are Imprinted together." She said, I've heard of Imprinting in the witch world but it is in the vampire world too. "Caspian had you drink his blood so now you two have Imprinted, Lora's trying to figure out what to do." She said still holding Corax.

"He likes you. That's a first." I said softly, reaching out and scratching his head.

"Yeah, I find it weird that we have so much in common." She said with a smile. I smiled then I heard someone groaning, I looked over to find some guy on another bed. "Another student was attack by something, he's recovering but he wasn't that badly off compared to you." She said sitting in the chair next to the bed. "Well how do you feel?" She asked, letting Corax onto the bed. He came close and laid next to me.

"I feel better, I guess that Caspian has most of the thanks." I said smiling then it hit me. "Where is he?" I asked her, she looked down.

"Logan took him to Lora after smelling the blood. I only saw him in the hall as Logan was dragging him away. He told me to stay with you until he got back." She explained everything to me. Everything was going crazy, I have to fix this and find out who is trying to take over. Thinking this my body began to burn, I screamed in pain grabbing my shirt. I sat up and began taking off my shirt when I looked down my runes were glowing and burning hot. Then a pulse emerged from them, another scream came. "Raven!" Nikki shouted trying to help me but she too was burned.

"Corax take her away, get away from me!!" I shouted, jumping out of the bed and rushing outside. I pushed passed the doors and fell, landing on the wet grass. No shirt on so the cool grass felt good against my burning skin. I looked ahead of me and saw something or someone coming near me. My vision grow blurry, what I remember next was someone picking me up, carrying me away into the hands of night.
