Chapter 16. Peace for You but Not Me

~Caspian POV~

Everything that has happened was intense. Lora trying to kill everything, seeing Raven like a Goddess and seeing our great Goddess then finding out that she was Raven's real mother. So much had happen that I was still in an trance, it wasn't until I heard Logan shout. I turned to see Raven fall, I ran to her. I took her from Logan's arms, Nikki came over with this look.

"You know what's happened." I said to her, she slowly nodded her head.

"It's her curse, this happened a long time ago. Her mother had to give her up because of it, the power in her body was too much for her body to handle so it sent her to sleep. As if letting her body heal, it must be happening again." She explained everything to me but I still couldn't believe it. I looked down at her, she looked at peace but slowly she grow pale. I held her close to me, her warmth was fading.

"Please help me goddess." I whispered, fighting back tears.

It has been a week after Raven went into a deep sleep. We set her in her room, surrounded by her candles, dream catchers, magic books and photos of her family. Logan called her grandmother and told her the news, he said that she began crying through the phone. He also told us that she and many members of her family were coming up to see her. I stayed with her as much as I could, many times I would be talking to her. Saying that I loved her, telling her anything that's happened. Every time I would be fighting back tears, seeing her in this state is killing me. As the days go on I'm losing my will to live, if Raven was to die then I would probably kill myself to join her. Maybe we could be in the great garden living our lives peacefully. I was in her room talking to her about Nikki and Ryan, telling her that her family was coming to see her. I held her hand in mine, kissing it. Her skin was getting colder, paler and deader. She was fading from this world I can feel it, she's mine. "Please don't take her from me, she's everything to me. Please help me." I whispered, my voice echoed soon silence came but that vanished.

"Are you her mate?" An older voice asked me, I looked over to find a woman.

"Yes, you must be her grandmother." I said whipping away my tears. "Thank you for coming. I'm sorry that she's mated with a hunter but I had to save her somehow. She's like this because of my weakness." I said bowing my head, I was ashamed to look at her. She raised Raven, she was the true woman that has been in her life for so long and here I am in between her and her presious child. I waited for her to say something but instead I heard sniffling. I looked up to find her grandmother crying.

"You are not weak. You've protected my grand daughter, you've loved her and you haven't left her side. I need to thank you." She said through her tears. I walked over to her, and hugged her.

"You raised such a a wonderful woman. She is perfect." I whispered, she smiled.

"You are the perfect match for my sweet child." She said looking up at me, I smiled.

We talked about many things after that, about Raven and her childhood. Granny told me about how Raven became human, granny said that Raven was given to her by the goddess and told to look after her. Learning everything I can about her, was great. The more I learned about her the more I grow happy. We left Raven so she can sleep in peace, we left to eat some food. When we walked outside that's when we realized that something was wrong. The moons light was fading tonight, is was very wrong.
