Annabeth's POV

Some of my friends and I were sitting in a circle on my floor. They were mortal and I was having a sleepover, and right now we are playing truth or dare.

"Annabeth, Truth or Dare?" Maria asked.

"Uh... Truth?" I stated as more of a question.

"Do you really have a boyfriend or are you waiting for someone to ask you?" She asked. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Of course I have a boyfriend." I responded easily.

I nodded. See, I was all the way in California going to school, and a bunch of guys, guys considered 'hot' in this world, keep asking me out even though I tell them I have a boyfriend. "Oh Yeah? What does he look like?" Jenna challenged. I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Go on, I want to hear about him!" Suhaily begged. I rolled my eyes at them.

"Fine. He has messy jet black hair with bright sea green eyes like the ocean. His skin is always toned, like he's been sitting in the sun on the beach all day. He's muscular, but it's dense, so he doesn't look gross, even though he could probably bench press a thousand pounds." Just talking about him made me feel homesick. "His grin is crooked, but not like evil crooked. It's really kind, and looks like a mischievous smirk." All my friends were gaping at me.

"You make him sound like a god!" Maria exclaimed.

"Eh." I shrugged, though I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Is he hot?" Jenna asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes again. After a few seconds I sighed. "Really hot." I admitted, defeated.

"You should call him! I want to hear him!" Suhaily squealed, totally fang girling.

"Uh... Sure?" I pulled out my monster proof phone and clicked Percy's number, putting it on speaker. It rang for a while before it clicked.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Was there another attack?" He asked immediately.

"No Seaweed Brain, I'm fine. I'm over at a friends house." I told him. He sighed in relief.

"Sheesh Perce, I can take care of myself!" I told him in a teasing stern voice.

"Don't tell me things I already know Professor Wise Girl." He told me, stifling a laugh.

"You know something? That's a change." I told him, raising an eyebrow.

"Than- Wait! Hey! No fair! I know things! I do listen to you talk, even when you ramble on for hours about architecture and how amazing it is, and about history, and math, and a whole lot of other stuff I try to listen to but I don't know half the words you're saying so it's like 'Photosynthesis helps a plant grow,' to me Photosynthesis could mean anything from freakin battle lazers to Aliens from space, because that word makes NO sense whatsoever." He rambled.

"Perce. You're rambling again." I told him boredly. He chuckled sheepishly.

"Oh... Sorry. Why did you call me again?" He asked.

"My friends wanted to hear your voice or whatever because I keep getting asked out and-" I was cut of by Percy yelling,

"NICO! TAKE ME TO CALIFORNIA! I HAVE SOME ASSES TO KICK!"

"Why the hell do you need to beat someone up in California?" I heard Nico groan.

"People are asking out Annabeth! I'm gonna need a baseball bat, coach Hedge, ducktape, and Leo!" Percy yelled.
