ALEISHA'S POV
I walk into the library that is located just opposite our school. I start to look for Noah and I find him sitting a few tables away from the entrance. I walk over to him and drop my bag on one of the chairs.
"Hey. I'm here. Let's start." I say, taking a seat next to him.
"About time." He mutters and keeps his phone away after closing the application he was on.
I take out my biology textbook and place it on the table next to my notepad and pen. He moves his chair closer as he starts explaining the topic we're on. About half an hour later, he's still explaining, but I've lost all interest and start to read the textbook myself, trying to understand something, anything.
"Noah. Stop. I don't get it." I say, looking up at him desperately.
He looks at me and his eyes soften as his hand lifts up as though he was going to place it on my cheek, but then his eyes darken and his hand drops to his lap almost instantly, breaking out of his trance by shaking his head. He picks up his pen and without sparing me a glance, he starts to jot down some notes. 15 minutes later, I have three pages full of notes. He hands it to me and gets up, grabbing his bag and slinging it over his shoulder. As he walks away, I notice a slight limp in his movement.
"Noah! Wait!" I shout, earning a glare from the librarian. He turns around with raised eyebrows but stops walking anyway. "Why are you limping? Are you okay?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows with concern. I looked at his leg, checking if there was any sort of wound or cast.
"You know what you remind me of?...Sunshine." He asks, smirking.
I smile at this. " Why?"
His smirk morphs into an annoyed scowl. "Because you're everywhere and in everyone's business."
"Oh."
He blinks his eyes slowly at me.
And then he's gone.
