*Braelyn's pov*

Seeing Izzy was sick, Gelo decided to finally come over. After school we both drove to a coffee shop we both love. It's actually the first place we got to hang out alone. When we were in 6th grade.

"I feel like an adult," I giggled, sipping on my coffee.
"Weirdo," Gelo laughed, drinking his smoothie.
"You're the weirdo. You come to the coffee shop and get a smoothie," I giggled.
"I can't have that kind of caffeine," he groaned, "Not good for basketball."
"Excuses, excuses!" I rolled my eyes playfully at him. We both started to laugh and we drank our drinks.

We walked into the café and looked around. Nothing has really changed. It was still the same as it was when we first came here. "Let me guess," Gelo started, "Medium caramel frappe with soy milk and extra whip cream." He told the barista. I nodded and smiled bigger, he knew my order. "Now you want," I giggled, "You want a medium strawberry banana smoothie with a shot of honey in it," I told he barista. He nodded and smiled at me. We split the bill an sat down, waiting for our drinks. "You know, some things never change," I smiled at Gelo.
"Like us," he nodded, "No matter what we are attached Brae."
"I know," I smiled at him.
"No matter if I have a girlfriend or if you have a boyfriend," he shrugged, "We are best fucking friends ever."
"Bffe," I giggled.
"Bffe, weirdo," he rolled his eyes playfully. I giggled and got our drinks when our name was called. I handed him his smoothie and sat down. We drank our drinks and just enjoyed being in each others company.

After we finished our drinks we both went home. He was going to go check up on Izzy and I had to get home before my dad got home. I went upstairs and I checked my phone. A familiar number popped up. It was my ex. No one knew we dated because he went to the school a town over.

Nick-
Hey Brae, guess what?

Me-
What?

Nick-
I'm transferring to
Chino. No more distance..

Me-
Awesome!

Nick-
So?

Me-
So what?

Nick-
Can we get back
together??

I thought about it for a minute. I knew I didn't really have a chance with Gelo anymore.

Me-
Yeah of course babe.

Nick-
Great! I'll see you
tomorrow at school babe.

I sent him a thumbs up and I put my phone away. I knew what I was doing wasn't really right but I didn't care. I knew I didn't like Nick, but maybe Gelo would get jealous if I was with him. Maybe he will start to see where I'm coming from.

*Izzy's pov*

"Yeah I asked her out," Nick nodded.
"Good you remember the plan?" I looked at him, through my screen.
"Yes Izzy. Date her, sleep with her, get pictures of it. Post it and break her heart," he nodded.
"Good I gotta go Gelo is here," I hung my phone up and put it away. I laid down in bed and smiled weak at him when he came up. "Hey baby," he smiled at me.
"What took so long?" I pouted at him, as he sat by me.
"I got smoothies with Brae," he chuckled and shrugged, "I told you I'd be late."
"I know but I don't want you with Braelyn and you know that," I sighed.
"No don't worry babe we talked it out. She doesn't really have feelings for me. It's just jealousy because I'm her best friend," he nodded. I nodded back and shrugged. That bitch is going down.

*Braelyn's pov*

The next day at school I found Nick. I smiled small at him and hugged him. "Hey Brae," he smiled.
"Hey Nick," I giggled a bit. I kissed his cheek a few times and smiled small. He smiled back and pulled away. "Alright I gotta get my schedule baby I'll be back," he went into the office. I turned around to wait for him but saw Gelo. He walked up to me and looked at me confused. "What?" I laughed.
"What was that about? Who even is that?" he laughed.
"Nick. We dated before and we just got back together. He transferred to Chino," I shrugged.
"Ohh that's number 6 on the basketball team," he nodded, "He's an asshole..."
"Gelo be nice," I shook my head, "He's my boyfriend."

*Gelo's pov*

"He's my boyfriend," her soft voice spoke. Those words burned through me. I hated that... She can't have a boyfriend... I guess she can but she shouldn't. I like her. What are you saying Gelo!? You like Izzy... Not your best friend... Maybe I do like Braelyn... "Alright well I'm going to go show him around," Brae shrugged and walked away with Nick. I shook my head and clenched my fists. My whole body was tense. "What's up with you?" Oscar laughed.
"Nothing," I walked away from him.
