These past few days Luke and I have been practically inseparable. He's helped me accept my fathers death. I've also learned so much about him. Who knew there was a deep, dark side to such a sweet, awkward boy?
Today the boys have another concert. We planned on relaxing at the venue today.
"You've been in the bathroom for ages," I yell. Ashton's been in there for almost an hour.
"Alright, alright," he comes out and smiles innocently at me.
"You're lucky I didn't pee on your pillow,"
I pee peacefully and wash my hands. I hear commotion outside and press my ear against the door.
"Thank you so much. You have no idea how much I love you," Ashton whispers. A few moments pass. "Okay. I'll call you tomorrow. Bye babe,"
Babe? Who is Ashton calling babe?! The only person, or thing, I recall Ashton ever being involved with is his drum set.
I wait a few seconds for him to scurry away and I exit the bathroom. I'm going to get to the bottom of this no matter what.

"So we're trying to write a new song and we can't think of anything for the beginning. Do you have any ideas?" Calum asks.
"Umm...I dunno. What's the song about?" I take a seat on the couch and out my feet on the table.
"Hear, just read what we have so far," he hands me the notebook and I glance over the words written.
Chorus:
Are we wasting time
Talking on a broken line?
Telling you I haven't seen your face in ages
I feel like we're as close as strangers
"I really like it. What inspired you guys to write it?" I ask them.
"Ashton wrote it actually. You'll have to ask him,"
Why would Ash write this? Is it for his 'babe'? I honestly don't know what Ashton is up to.
"I don't know. I'll be right back," I head towards the back of the bus to find Ashton.
"Ashton where are ya?" his bunk curtain opens and I nearly die.
"You wanted to see me?" he asks.
"What the hell is going on with you? Who were you calling babe?" I ask him.
His cheeks turn red. "What are you talking about?" he asks nervously.
"Cut the bullshit. I just wanna know what you're doing. Oh, and I saw the chorus you wrote. I really like it,"
"Thanks. And promise you won't tell anyone?" I stick my pinky out and we pinky promise.
"Okay. So, I actually have a girlfriend..." he trails off.
"Really? Oh my god! Ashton!" I hug him and start giggling uncontrollably. Ugh, I hate being really feminine sometimes.
"Yes but shh!"
"What's her name? Where's she from? How did you meet her?" I throw a million different questions.
"I'm dating a girl I met in London while we lived there. Her name's Liz," he says.
"Oh my god! Congrats, Ashton! But wait...Why were you thanking her?" I ask him curiously.
"She heard some silly rumor and broke up with me. Once I explained everything she took me back," he tells me.
"That's so cute! We'll talk more later. But one more thing: is that why you wrote that chorus?" I ask and he nods.
"I was just writing about how I felt her and I's relationship felt and the boys found it and thought it was a song so I played along," he tells me.
"Okay. Thanks bud! Go back to doing whatever you were doing. Remember, no dick pics for Liz!" he chuckles at me.
I return to the boys and grab the notebook from Calum's hands. I write down this:
Won't give up
Even though it hurts so much
Every night I'm losing you in a thousand faces
Now it feels we're as close as strangers
I hand it back to Calum and his jaw drops. Mikey and Luke read it and their jaws drop, too.
"Who knew you were a lyrical genius?!" Luke shouts and I laugh.
"But seriously, where did you learn to write like this?" Mikey asks.
"I've always secretly liked poetry and shit. I guess I've written so many poems that writing the lyrics was just like writing a poem," I admit.
"That's fucking awesome! Whenever we're writing songs you're helping us," Calum say and I agree.
