I was out at the grocery store accompanied by the Isabella and now Derik. Derik had showed up out of nowhere. Isabella's hunting partner to be exact. They had decided to accompany me along to the grocery store deciding it was dangerous for me to be out alone.

"I'll be fine on my own. I haven't been attacked since that night." I told Isabella as she picked out a Hershey Halloween themed candy bar. "I was attacked who is to say you won't be attacked?" Isabella asked. "I'm not a hunter like you." I said.

"Hunters are classy people who protect people who can't protect themselves. Especially rogues who hunt the innocent." Derik said. Derik had amnesia. But his entire family was slaughtered by rogues and he eventually landed in the hands of The Organization. The same as Isabella. The reason the two got along so well as they understood loss.

Isabella had no one and Derik had no one. Except each other and of course me once they moved here. I knew them both before they became hormonal edgy, moody teenagers and were cute little children. I made sure Isabella was trained young after parents death.

Also made sure she wasn't sent to a hunters orphanage. Isabella and Derik also trained together which increased their friendship. The two had always been close. But never romantically. Derik was too focused on hunting to get a girlfriend and Isabella too headstrong to land a boyfriend as she scared every guy off.

Derik managed to get her to not be mean to him. My thoughts wandered off to Dalton, Andrew's brother. At the night of the attack he looked at her so lovingly. He liked her. You could tell. Poor Dalton. Isabella didn't do relationships well any sort of relationship.

Friendship or romantic. She tried to block everyone out. The only reason Derik and I were friends with her was because A. I knew her before her parents and brothers died and B. Derik was persistent. Unless Dalton was willing to chase her around for maybe years depending on how good he could crack her armor he shouldn't try.

Unless she's his mate.

Wait.

Could Isabella be Dalton's mat? Is that why he stared at her so longly. He might have a chance then since werewolves work hard for their mates. I looked at Isabella. She was staring at the meats perplexed.

Isabella was pretty. She had long raven colored hair, pale skin, she was skinny, and short 4"11 to be exact and then she had her bright royal blue eyes. A deep blue but very vibrant. Isabella was attractive but she wasn't for everyone especially christian people. Isabella was the vessel of Satan.

I glanced over at Derik. Derik had vibrant red hair like mine except his was shades dark close to a maroon but natural. But it wasn't lifeless full of life. Then Derik with his round brown eyes. Dark brown. Derik picked up a piece of meat before throwing it in the cart.

I put it back. "I don't need this." I told him. "But I need it." Derik said. "Then go get a cart of your own." I told him. "I'm eating at either your place or Isabella's." Derik said. Isabella glanced over. "Buy me a candy bar and Flimur will cook for both of us." Isabella said with a smile.

"Orchid what are you having for dinner?" Derik asked. "Dinner for one. Sorry." I told him before speeding away from them at full speed hoping to lose them. I lost them in the aisle of drinks and got myself a package of small package of water.

With that I continued out but ran straight into Isabella. "You are like the plague." I told her before making my way past her. "You might be in danger." Isabella said as Derik followed after her. "I don't need you two." I told them. "We'll grow on you eventually." Derik said.

"Like a fungus." I muttered.

With that I went over to the cash register and began getting my food out with Derik and Isabella behind him. "Fine but you better pay it off." Derik said. "I'll get some shotgun shells for you." Isabella said and Derik nodded.

After I was done I thought I could outrun them but nope they caught up to me. Then I was forced into Derik's white mustang. "I will be fine." I told them as Derik peeled out of the Walmart parking lot and off to my place. "We don't take chances."

"Do you have to hover?" I asked Isabella who was eating her now frozen Hershey's bar

"Do you have to hover?" I asked Isabella who was eating her now frozen Hershey's bar. "I'm hungry." Isabella said. Derik was currently going through my cabinet of witch supplies. "Is Wolfroot editable?" Derik asked.

"It's meant to drive off wolves and werewolves when planted. If you eat it you will get the flu like cold. Depending on your immune system depends if you will survive. If you're a werewolf it kills you." I told him as I stirred the hamburger helper that I was making for dinner.

Derik put it back before going over to his double barrell shotgun to fill it up with the shells. Both Derik and Isabella were carrying. Isabella carried her glock pistols, black and silver designed specifically for her. Isabella also always had silver bullets run through holy water or wooden bullets.

It all depended on what Isabella was hunting. Right now she no doubt had silver bullets for the rogues she was expecting to attack her. "I'm fine." I reminded her as I took the hamburger helper off the stove to cool off while we waited for our dinner to be cooked.

I guess I had no choice but to feed these two idiots. They'd probably starve without me. Well Derik would not Isabella. Isabella had a cooking demon. But still. I got three bowls done making Isabella smile before wrap up her candy bar and put it back in my freezer.

Derik was up in moments and soon I had two hunters surrounding me as I filled up our bowls before going over to the table. We sat down and began to ate. Derik and Isabella were talking about hunting things and jobs they had. Isabella laughed at something and my phone buzzed. I looked at it.

Can I come over to your house tomorrow?

It was from Andrew. I smiled and texted him yes. Well tried. I typed ues. But hopefully he'd get it. I hate modern technology. So much. "Who is texting you?" Isabella asked with a raised eyebrow. "None of your business." I told her.

"She has a boyfriend." Derik said. "No I don't. No shut up." I told them. "Orchid has a boyfriend." Isabella said like a kid. "And Isabella needs to grow up and get a life." I shot back. Isabella smirked. "I have a life. But you might have a man." Isabella said with a smirk.

"I'm gonna kick you out here soon." I told them. Isabella rolled her eyes before going back to her eating the hamburger helper. Derik did too his eyes looking up every second here and there. But finally they stopped asking me questions and went to eating. I might just of been in denial that I liked Andrew.
