"Right." I said laughing at his quietness. I get up and go over to the refrigerator to look for something to cook. Pork chops or steak? I notice we have two steaks left and only one Pork chop. "Steak it is." I said to myself as a pulled it out of the freezer and let it thaw out in the sink. I began to prepare the broccoli, shrimp and the mash potatoes. "Well his name is Zachariah, and I don't know what we are yet." He said coming into the kitchen and sitting at the island. I started seasoning the steaks, then I threw it on the skillet. "Although I knew he couldn't really do anything against your uncle, did he at least try to protect you?" I asked now putting he shrimp onto a separate pan. I put the broccoli in a pot with water and let it steam, and I put the mash potatoes in pot. "Yes, before he got thrown into a wall because of it." He said getting a little mad. "What else did he do?" I said, interested in my son's love life. "I mentioned that it's fine if he doesn't wanna talk to me anymore if he doesn't feel safe, but he said that'll only make him want to stick by me more and try to protect me." He said, now smiling at the thought of what Zachariah said. "Sounds like a good guy, I'm going to have to meet him one day." I said with a smile.
I pull the now finished food off the stove and fix our plates. We sat at the island side by side and just made small talk about each other's day, minus the thing involving Blake..... "So after I told the lady that we no longer have that shirt in stock, she throws a huge bitch fit, talking about "you guys never have what I'm looking for" and blah blah blah. She still went and grabbed something else and came up to the register acting like nothing ever happened." I said talking about what happened at my boutique.(This really happened at my mom's store.) Jax busts out laughing at my story. Quite frankly I didn't even think it was that funny, Hmmmmm.....FAKE. After he finished his obnoxious laugh, he grabbed both of our plates, along with the pots and began washing. "I'm about to go to bed, goodnight honey, I love you." I said walking upstairs. "I LOVE YOU TOO." He yelled as I made it upstairs.
I walk into my room. The clock read 11:25 p.m. good think it's the weekend. I run the bath water and wait till it's done being filled. Once it's done, I shut the faucet off and stripped out of my work clothes...... As I'm relaxing in the tub, my phones vibrates with the notification sound, letting me know that I have message. It's a message from John, a agent I hired in order to watch Ajax and I. Also to see if Zennon has sent anyone to follow us. "There's a man that has been following you for a couple days, I didn't think anything of it, because it could've been a coincidence. That was until I caught him taking pictures of you while you were working......his name is Aiden by the way." the text said as I decided I'll have a conversation with this man myself. Guess I'm not going to sleep just yet........
