Karissa's POV
"Well it started on the streets I was alone ,but one day a family picked me up and gave me a home. I didn't see that they were abusive so after a month of living with them, true colors were shown..." I choked "My room was moved to the attic and my food was reduced to half of an apple and was whipped, slapped, punched, kicked, and beaten-" I stumbled and started crying so Nico hugged me and whispered comforting things in my ear as sobs racked my body. I felt another pair of arms around me, so I looked up and saw Dad giving us a hug.
Hades POV
As I listened I was getting more and more horrified by how Karissa was treated so I watched how she now felt somewhat safe around me, I rapped my arms around her and Nico.
Nico's POV
As we sat there Karissa must have fallen asleep because when we pulled from the hug she had her eyes closed and looked peaceful. So I moved her to her head on my shoulder

Karissa's POV
I must have fallen asleep, oh no. "How long have I been asleep?" Dad was the one to answer "4 Hours "No, please don't hurt me." "It's okay, we won't hurt you." Nico whispered to calm me down "My 'family' would make me freeze, burn, and bleed when I slept for more than two hours."
