Percy didn't know what was going on with Nico, but he hoped he was okay. After he ran away from him on the beach, he knew something wasn't right. When he had opened the door to the cabin, Nico was curled into his mattress, sobbing. He had tried to comfort him, only to be asked to leave.
What was going on with Nico bothered Percy all night. He didn't want to bother the guy, so he left him alone, but he was itching to figure out what had made him run off like that.
Nico didn't come to dinner, and Percy was contimplating bringing the kid some food, but he decided against it. He probably just needed some time, that was all.
Annabeth wasn't helping either. She had turned her friends against Percy after their break up, and now they all glared at Percy, tripping him and putting spicy sap in his food when he wasn't looking, it was annoying, and it made him bitter. Just last week he had yelled at some Apollo kid for correcting him on his archery.
After lunch, Percy had free time. He went down to the lake, his favourite spot in the camp. Nico was sitting there, the blanket from his bunk wrapped around his shoulders. His eyes were swollen and he was breathing radically.
"Hey Nico," Percy said soothingly, touching the younger kid's shoulder.
"Oh Gods, what do you want?" Nico pushed away from Percy and wrapped the blanket tighter around himself.
"I just came over to check if you're okay, you seemed . . . stressed when you left the beach," comforted Percy.
"No, I'm fine, now would you leave?" the younger kid grumbled.
"Nico, why are you being such an asshole lately? Is it me?" Percy was getting annoyed at Nico's shitty attitude, and he wasn't going to sit around and take it anymore. "Because if it is, I'd be happy to get up and leave. You know, I don't have to be nice to you!"
Nico put his head in in hands. Quiet sobs started to shake his soulders. "Percy, you don't understand. I can't be near you. It's bad for me."
"Nico I know that's a load of bullshit, now tell me why you're in such a bad mood all the time," Percy responded.
"Maybe because I'm a child of Hades, you moron!" Nico retorted.
Percy stood, and started walking away from the boy, grumbling about how difficult he was.
"Wait, Percy . . ."

Sorry it took so long to update, I complete forgot about this in the midst of everything with school and dance competitions. I'll try to be more on time, and I'll write another chapter soon because this one was short, and kind of a filler.
Please share with your tumblr, facebook, twitter etc. and don't forgot to vote and comment.
