Addie's POV
"Alright, so just make sure you go to physical therapy in about a month and you should be right as rain!" My doctor said, closing my chart. I was already dressed and my discharge papers were signed. Words can not describe how much I wanted to get out. I had been sitting in bed, watching TV, and just existing. It sucked. Being lazy seems like an amazing and comfortable thing, but I was over it. Mark and Wade were there to help me home, and my mom and dad were waiting back at my apartment. Some volunteer showed up with a wheelchair, and I gladly plopped down into it. Mark was next to me the whole way, and wade went to go get the car.
"Wild, huh?" I asked, adjusting my sling. "It only takes one dumbass driver to change your life." Mark nodded sadly and patted my good shoulder. His fans must be screaming for my head for taking away his time from YouTube. He didn't have any time to make videos in advance, but he apparently made a quick video explaining that he was going to be gone for a little while. "Do you trust Grayson to take care of me?" I asked, smirking at him.
"Yeah, but I might wanna stay the night at your place for a few days. If that's okay with you, of course." He asked. I nodded as wade pulled up to the front doors. I was wheeled out, and with Mark on one side and the volunteer on the other, I stood up for the first time in days. "I feel like jelly." I whined, taking my first step. Mark let out a light laugh and helped me the rest of the way to the car. The volunteer wished me well and left, while Mark helped me get buckled in.
"To home!" He said, closing the door.
Grayson was waiting for us at my apartment, and she had a little station set up on the couch. My prescriptions, some snacks, some drinks, and the tv remote. "Grayson, you're too good to me." I cooed, sitting down slowly on the couch.
"What can I say, I'm simply the best." She shrugged and chuckled.
"Let me know if you need anything, Addie. I mean it. Anything." Wade said, kissing my forehead.
"I will. Thank you for the help over the past few weeks, dork." He ruffled my hair, then he was out the door.
"Well, what should we do?" I asked, already getting antsy.
"Nothing. You need to keep calm and heal." Grayson said, plopping next to me on the couch.
"I agree." Mark said, sitting on my other side.
"Boring!" I whined, leaning my head on Marks shoulder. "Just 'cause my arm was basically reconstructed doesn't mean I can't have fun."
"True, but let's just relax for today, okay?" Mark said, rubbing my good arm. I shrugged, which instantly made me hiss in pain.
"Arms are fucking stupid." I cried, waiting for the ache in my arm to go away. Mark laughed and kissed my head, picking up the remote. We ended up watching a movie, but I fell asleep about halfway through. The pain medication I'm on makes me super tired, and the doctor said he wouldn't be surprised if I was sleeping 14 hours a day. When I woke up, Mark was in the kitchen with Grayson cooking dinner.
"Good morning sleepyhead!" Grayson called. I grunted in response, straightening myself from my uncomfortable sleeping position.
"Arm still hurt?" Mark asked. I nodded, and he brought over some water so I could take my pain meds.
"Thank you." I said, looking up at him. I took the pills and tried to relax on the couch, but every position was uncomfortable, so I decided to stand up.
"Need help?" Grayson asked. I waved her off, I can stand on my own now. My arm is broken, not my leg. I made my way through living room slowly, and stopped walking when I got to Mark in the kitchen. I was already immensely bored, and there was nothing I could do to entertain myself that doesn't involve using both arms. I sighed and leaned into Mark's chest, just wanting to be done recovering.
"What video games can I play one handed?" I asked him as he rubbed my back.
"The sims?" He suggested. I shrugged. I could play the sims, I guess. It's better than standing here being tired and bored. I walked to my room to grab my laptop, and redownloaded the sims 4. I played for a little while until dinner was ready. Mark and Grayson had made spaghetti and meatballs. As soon as I got a bowl, I stuffed my face.
"Couldn't wait to get my balls in your mouth, huh?" Mark joked. Grayson choked on her spaghetti and I let out a laugh.
"If I didn't feel like absolute shit, we could maybe have sex. Slow your roll there, partner" I poked him in the side as he rolled his eyes.
I ate the rest of my dinner with limited testicle jokes, then went into the bathroom. While I was washing my hands, I looked up at myself in the mirror. My eyes looked better, but they were still black and blue. My nose, which most likely has to be surgically corrected later on, was looking better and it hurt less when I touched it. Overall, I still looked awful, but definitely better than I looked while I was in the hospital. I shrugged and walked back to my room, ready to sleep away some of the pain.
A/N
So it's been a few years. I decided to try to get back into writing, and I realized I never finished this story. To be honest, I'm not as obsessed with Mark as I used to be, but I want to make sure I have a good story with at least 30 parts, so I'll keep writing. I might edit some of the earlier chapters too, it'll depend. Thanks for reading!
