Chapter Eight

Mark's POV

"Mark?" I heard Wade call from the other room. "Caroline is at the door!"

Oh god. Caroline and I dated for a few years and then she wanted to get married. But then, I was working my shitty engineering job, so I wasn't my happiest. But after I said that I didn't want to get married yet, she freaked out. She broke literally everything in my apartment. Glasses, dishes and anything in between. Shards of shit were everywhere, and I did nothing else but kick her out. I didn't hear from her again. Until now.

"The fuck?" I yelled aloud. I walked to the door and opened it, making sure Wade was behind me.

"Mark!" Caroline squealed. I winced as her high pitched voice pierced my ear drums.

"Caroline...Hey." I said. "Why are you here?" I asked.

"To see you of course! Can we talk?" She said, batting her eyelashes. I looked back at Wade, and he gave me a look that said "go".

"Alright" I shrugged. I followed her out onto the porch. "What's up." Within two seconds, her over glossed lips crashed onto mine.

I shoved her off, and wiped the spit and lip gloss off of my mouth. She stood there, looking satisfied and licking her lips. "Don't act like you didn't enjoy it." She said.

"What the actual fuck is wrong with you?" I yelled. She didn't seem affected in the slightest. I shook my head and turned on my heel. I walked inside and closed the door, locking it.

"Well jeez what happened out there?" Wade asked.

"Caroline decided it was a great idea to suddenly make out. I shoved her off and here I am." I said, walking past him into the kitchen.

"Well okay then. Do you want Mexican for dinner?" He asked, trailing behind me.

"Sure whatever" I replied, rubbing the bridge of my nose. "Is Addie coming too?"

"Of course. I'll go tell her." And with that, I was left alone in the kitchen.
