Chapter 9
Kelly's POV
*One Week Later*
Today is Sunday and it's my last day here at the hospital. Pj, Keke, and Willy and Darren, all took turns staying the nights with me. The week went by so slow, it felt like the Sun would never come up. Everything felt so empty and shattered. But this has honestly brought me and Pj a lot closer. His birthday is in another week and I wanna do something really special. But let me help you catch up on what's been going on this past week.
• Richard has still been blowing up my phone. Calls, text messages, voicemails. EVERY DAMN THING.
• Willy and Darren are moving closer to Pj and I. Yay. Oh, Willy ain't goin' nowhere. He's in love with Darren.
• Keke and I had an argument the last time she was here so we're not talking right now. She kept saying that I don't need to be with Pj. He's not protecting me like he should be... blah blah blah. So yea, we're not talking right now.
• Last but not least, Pj has been pushing me a lot lately asking me what could've happened. I just don't wanna talk about it though. Maybe one day, but not now.
I hear the door knob start to turn so I sat up in bed a little. It was Pj with Dr.Malcolm and they were talking. Only another hour until it was time to go and the doctor gave me medicine just in case the pain kept coming and some kind of cream to help my bruises.
Pj: "You almost ready baby," he said kissing my forehead.
Kelly: "Yea, I'm ready to go home. I'm tired."
Pj: "You hungry?" I just shook my head no and then with that we got in the car and left.
PJ's POV
Ever since this shit with Kelly happened, she's barely talking. She won't even eat. I'm taking her home right now, and the car is so quiet... it's never been this quiet. I cut on some music. Sparks Will Fly, was the song playing and I was waiting for her to sing... but that didn't happen. I hate seeing Kelly like this. I ain't seen her like this since that shit happened with her mama years ago. I really think this shit is all Richard. I kept trying to piece shit together and then something came to me.
*Voice in PJ's head*
This car almost hit me on the way there.
On the way there? Who else could've possibly been coming from the direction of our house? Only two houses on my street. That's mine and one of Kelly's brothers across the street from us. But he's out of town.I pull up to the house then look over at Kelly and she's asleep in the passenger side.
Pj: "Baby wake up we're home." She stretched a little bit then got out of the car. I came up to the door behind her and unlocked the door. "You sure you not hungry?" She nodded her head and headed for the bedroom. I followed behind her because I had a surprise for her. I stood in front of the door before she walked on.
Pj: "You know I love you right?"
Kelly: "Yea, I love you too."
Pj: "Okay, I gotta surprise for you."
Kelly: "Pj I just wanna lay--, " I cut her off by putting my hands over her eyes and then I opened the door.
Pj: "You ready?" She gave me a deep sigh then nodded her head. When I moved my hands away her whole facial expression changed.
Kelly: "Oh Pj. I love it, why'd you do this?" I had roses on the bed, her favorite candles lit, and strawberries and peaches with cream on the side of our bed. I know sexy huh? But Darren and Willy set this up for me. I know Kelly loves strawberries and peaches. Darren said that Kelly has always liked Hawaiian Pineapple candles so we came up with this.
