Alex's P.O.V

It had been 3 weeks.

Every night, we watched the stars dance from my rooftop, every night we talked about anything and everything we could, every night I cuddled up to him closer and closer while our hands were laced and every night, the feelings grew stronger.

*slam*

They showed no remorse, no mercy as they shoved me into a locker once more, disrupting me from my thoughts. The impact brought pain which invaded my body before falling onto the floor, a flyer seemed to fall along with me and I picked myself up, reading the bold letters imprinted onto the paper.

"Battle of the bands" I breathed.

"You need to stop them" Daniel said, making sure I was okay yet my eyes were glued to the flyer. His eyes diverted to what was catching my attention.
"Go for it" he said, at this point the rest had joined.
"Go for what?" Brook asked.

"Battle of the bands, you guys can win" he said confidently. They shook their heads,
"No way. Rebecca and her squad would kill us" Matt said adamantly with fear.
I looked at the flyer, holding an opportunity and looked at them once more,
"We can do it" I say, finding a new surge of confidence causing Brook, Matt and Jacob to widen their eyes and drop their jaws in awe whilst Daniel grinned happily and proudly.

"Are you crazy?" Brook said, yet she was smiling at my newfound determination and confidence. Where is all this coming from?
"Yes" I replied causing them to laugh and look at one another, confidence growing.
"We never know, if we never try" I say softly, sparks begin rising in their eyes.

"Let's do it" Jacob said abruptly.
"We're really doing this huh?" Matt said and Brook nodded.
"We really are" I say, the beginning of a fire growing in my stomach.

"Daniel, you wanna join?" Matt offers causing Jacob to shoot darts at Daniel with his eyes, yet he refused,
"No" he smiled, "This is all you guys, I will be the help and support" he said causing me to smile.
"Shall we get started?" I say, raising a brow as we all begin laughing and running to the music room.
I stop midway as they all continue running and walk back to Daniel, engulfing him in a hug as he wraps his arms around my waist protectively.

"Thank you blue eyes, for giving me this determination and confidence, I don't know what I would do without you" I say softly.
"I didn't do anything, it was all you, remember butterfly, the stars were our witness" he said softly, whispering the last part.
I smiled before running back to the music room.

As I entered, they were arguing over which of the songs to sing.
"In my opinion, we should sing Volume" Matt says, attempting to be calm.
"Well, your opinion doesn't matter!" Brook says, clearly annoyed.
"Brook you're acting like yours does!" Jacob yells.

At this point, I couldn't make out what they were saying as they were all shouting on top of each other.
"Guys." They were still shouting.
"Guys!" I yell a little louder but they were still screaming at the top of their lungs.
"GUYS!" I yell so loud you could practically hear it echo from the other side of the school as they abruptly stop.

"Here we go, look, does your opinion really matter, I mean, you would rather be with lover boy wouldn't you?" Jacob says saltily. Wow. That hurt.
I open my mouth to say something, as does he, but nothing comes out. We all just sit in silence. That is, until, us being us, we couldn't go without music:
