After the boy and the rest of his group cleared the group, they came back. Dad had mentioned Gaston Brown and his group. We had worked with them a couple of times. I didn't recognize Nic until he came up to me and tried to talk some sense into me.
" Just leave me."
" Their common round the corner!" Kato yelled as he fired.
" We have to go, Trixi." Nic said as something exploited near us.
" Too many! We gotta fall back!" A newbie yelled.
" We're not retreating. Send in the kids" Gaston ordered, then kicked me. " MOVE IT!"
Nic grabbed my left arm with his left hand and pulled me up.
He picked up my sword and gave it to me.
" I can't-"
" We have to go." He said. " I can't look after you. You have to fi-fight."
" I might-"
" You have to. Or we both will lose are Celebrer supply. And we both know that's bad."
" I JUST LEAVE ME, NICKI!" I yelled at him, tears falling down my face.
" Wallace is working on buying us." Nic blurted. " We don't have to continue to-"
Before Nic could continue, a grenade rolled right into us and exploded.
( Nic's P.O.V)
" T-Trixi." I said as I shook her.
Her body was covered in burns, and very deep cuts.
Glass and metal were sticking out of her as well.
She had shielded me at the last second.
( Wallace ( Worick's) 's P.O.V.)
( Outside of the Arcangelo Estate)
As soon as I saw Nic, I darted outside.
" Sorry, Master Wareth." Nic said as he held out the sign language book I gave him. " I got it dirty."
I noticed that there was a badly injured girl being carried on a stretcher.
" Who's that?" I asked him.
" My friend I told you about. She..."
Nic looked down.
I watched the solder's enter through the main gate, and the doctor's that worked for my Dad grabbed the stretcher she was on and rushed to their treatment room.
" She'll be fine," I told him. " From what you've told me, she sounds like a fighter."
Nic lifted up his head and asked me what had happened to my face.
" I fell down."
