The Order of the Twilights

Act 4- Part 1

( Next day)

( Nic's P.O.V.)

( Theo's Clinic)

I looked at Trixi.

She was in bad shape.

Somehow her cut had gotten infected, and she had started running a temperature.  

Theo has her under a medically induced coma, knowing she will jump right up and leave when she woke up.

Theo has hired Drake as a personal guard since he's always here. 

 Galahad, Marco, Cody, Natalie, and Nikki had joined our little club after that happened last night. 

Only thing we need to do is get together and come up with a plan for when the Hunters come.

" Get off me, dude!" Nikki yelled as Theo was starting to work on him.

" I would advise you to stay still if  I were you unless you want metal to stay in your shoulder."

" I can do it my-"

Before Nikki could finish his sentence, Theo injected him with a high dose of Downers that knocked him out.

Good thing Natalie wasn't here, or else she would have thrown a fit.

She was out with Cat roaming the abandoned district, trying to see if the Hunters or Destroyers were here yet.  

Emilio had told us that they were four towns back from Ergastulum when he arrived and was planning to go back to them so he could be a spy for us, but of course, Alex intervened.

But, Emilio went anyway.

Now Alex is a worrying mess.

" Thank you for treating Marco, Theo," Constance said as Galahad helped Marco out.

He had a bullet from an enemy's gun go threw his left knee, shattering his bone.

" Look after him," Theo told her. " Broken bones are known to heal wrong."  

" Like a hawk," She giggled and helped Marco in the car that was pulled in front of Theo's Clinic. " Take care Nico, Drake."

I nodded.

" Listen." I saw Drake's lips say out of the corner or my eye. 

I turned my head so I could see him better.

 " I appreciate you looking after her, but that's my job now."

" She doesn't need protecting," I signed. " She needs someone she can trust to be at her side when she needs them the most. I'm not trying to steal her from you if you think that's what I'm doing. She's going to be closer to me because we have practically been through hell and back together."

Drake remained quiet.

However, the look on his face said that he understood.

" And if you ever do anything to hurt her, I will kill you." I told him.

" You don't need to worry about that, I love her too much."

" You better." I said as I passed him. 

He was standing guard outside of Theo's Clinic on the left side of the door.
