Chapter 3

When the ceremony ended, Light and L went somewhere to talk in private. I decided it would be a good time to visit Misa. I knocked on her door and waited. She opened it and gave me a hug. "I was wondering when I could see you again!" She squealed.

"Calm down, Misa. What are you up to?"

"Nothing." She said.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" I asked. Misa nodded her head. "Not here. Let's go inside." She nodded and let me in. I walked in the living room and sat on the chair. Misa sat across from me on the couch.

"What do you think of Kira?" I asked. Misa broke into a smile.

"I worship Kira. Ever since my parents died I've wanted the man who killed them to pay. Then one day, the man died of a heart attack. There's not a day that goes by that I thank Kira of what he did."

"Who was the man who killed your parents?"

"Yoichi Tamura."

"What would you do if you met Kira?"

"I would tell him how much I admire him. What are you getting at?"

I wrote the name down in my note book and looked back up at Misa. "Nothing, Misa. I just wondered what happened to your parents." Misa nodded.

"Well, I have a photo shoot in 5 minutes. I think you should go."

After leaving Misa's I went over to the Police station. "Can I please see Mr. Yagami. It's urgent." I asked. The receptionist nodded and phoned the Chief. The receptionist looked back at me with apologetic eyes. "He's not available at the moment. I'm sorry." I nodded. A few weeks later I got a text from Ryuuzaki. I have to see you. I looked up at the clock. It read 6:30pm. I got up and walked over to my brother's apartment. Watari opened the door and lead me inside. The police men I saw before all sat there in a circle watching L. "What's new?" I asked taking a seat next to Aizawa. "Watch the TV." He said.

It was on SakuraTV. In a poor quality was a badly handwritten word Kira. I crossed my legs and watched with everyone else. This was a supposed message from Kira. I can't believe it's from the real one. He talked about how the police could become an allie if we choose not to stop him from punishing criminals. He also gave two critics a heart attack just to prove that he is Kira. We have four days to make our decision. The question is: Why would Kira kill the innocent?

Ukita stood up and walked toward the door. "Where are you going?" I asked.

"To stop this broadcast." He said back. I jumped up before he could open the door and forcefully put a hand on his shoulder, turning him around.

"Don't be irrational. Going there will only get you killed. You heard Kira. He said if anyone interferes with this broadcast they will die."

"Are you saying that we should just sit around and watch TV?!" He snapped at me.

"What she's saying is that we should observe the situation and do the most logical option." My brother said backing me up.

"You said you would risk your life for this case." Ukita reminded him.

"Risking your life and throwing it away are two completely different things." Me and Ryuuzaki both said. Ukita huffed and rushed out the door. "Dammit!" Aizawa cursed.

"Calm down, Aizawa." My brother said.

"Ukita is walking into a grave and your saying I should just sit here?" Aizawa said furiously while grabbing my brothers arm.

"No. I'm saying you should calm down."

Aizawa sat back down next to me. "Where's chief?" I asked looking around.

"In the hospital. He had a heart attack."

"Do you think it could be Kira?" My brother shook his head 'no'.

"Kira wouldn't leave his victims alive."

At that moment a huge armored van busted through the doors of the SakuraTV station. "Well that was an affective way of getting inside." My brother muttered. A couple minutes later the tape was cut off and my brother's cellphone ringed. "Yes? Are you okay? Alright. Thank you." Ryuuzaki hung up his cellphone. "That was Soichiro. He was the one who busted in the van and he has the tapes." I nodded my head. On the second TV a news caster stated "A policemen has just collapsed in front of the SakuraTV station!" The a police car came. When the men stepped out they also collapsed.
After L made some calls the police made a barricade around the building without showing they're face. A young man who showed his face and escorted Mr. Yagami inside the police car. Then, they sped off. A couple minutes later chief entered the room. "I'm glad your okay." I said smiling slightly at the police chief. "Thank you. I'm sorry for acting so rash, Ryuuzaki. I have the tapes right here." Mr. Yagami gave the folder to my brother.

"Thank you, Chief Yagami. This will not go to waste." He said looking into the folder. "Aizawa, could you please examine these tapes?"

"Of course."

Ryuuzaki turned to me. "Konama. Since you haven't really gained any evidence to help with this case I'm going to have to pull you off of investigating Light." I nodded. "There was something I found, but I can't remember." I admitted sheepishly.

Few Days Later

"What do you mean there's a second Kira?" I asked eying my brother.

"The Kira we know wouldn't harm the innocent or criminals with minor charges."

"I thought the same thing when I saw that tape. Did you watch the other three?"

"Yes. If we were to choose yes to this Kira's proposal he said that L would have to appear on TV and announce that he will work with Kira. Since we chose no this Kira is now stating that the public must choose between L or the chief to sacrifice. If they choose me then I will have to go on TV. If Kira does not think that I am the real L he will kill other policemen."

Just then Matsuda busted in. "Like you said Ryuuzaki. Everyone chose you."

"They picked the logical answer." My brother mumbled.

"Are actually gonna go through with this?" I asked shocked.

"Yes. We have four days to catch this fake Kira. If were lucky, I'll live."

I nodded. "Well, wouldn't the real Kira want to meet the second Kira?" I asked. "I mean, if one can kill by only seeing a person's face then the real Kira would want to get in touch with him and use the second Kira to his advantage. Therefore, we should leave this up to the two Kira's." I said. All the police men muttered "What?" Meaning they didn't understand.

"I was thinking the exact same thing." My brother said eating a piece of cake. "The only hole in that is who will pretend to be Kira? If Light Yagami were to come to the same conclusion as me and my sister's then all the suspicion that I had of him will be gone. Just don't mention that we think there's a second Kira."

"Are you saying that if my son says there is a second Kira he's free of any suspicion?"

"Yes, but if he stays quiet about it then that will make him even more suspicious. The real Kira would want L dead. If the second Kira is planning to kill me then the real Kira won't have to do anything. Chief Yagami, please call Raito and tell him that he can work with us."

Chief nodded before pulling out his cell and calling Light. When Chief Yagami hang up his phone I stood up. "Everyone. When Light comes in do not use my real name ad do not call me Konama either. Call me Kaio. Just for safety reasons only."

"Wouldn't it be hard to work together if were keeping these things from Light?" Matsuda asked.

I sighed. "The reason I don't want my name to be out is because I have my own suspicions about Light. Please respect that. Ryuuzaki is making a test to see if Light is the real Kira. If he isn't then all suspicion is cleared. I still don't want my name out. If either Kira knew who I was, they would use me to get closer to my brother." All the police men nodded.

"Light's here." My brother announced. Matsuda got up and brought Light up to my brother's room. We all watched behind Light as he watched the video.
