"Have any deaths occured since my confinedment?" Light said looking up int the camera.

"No, Light." My brother responded.

It was true. No deaths have occured in the past week. Looks like Light and Misa were the two Kira. Suddenly, Matsuda bursted in.

"Ryuuzaki! A man just died of a heart attack." My eyes widened. They're not . . . I put my head down and pulled my legs up to my chest.

"We have to let them go." I muttered. "Misa's lost it. She's beeging for death, and Light . . ." I trailed off. Light seemed just fine.

"We still have one more week." My brother urged. I looked up. He was so sure of himself that Light was Kira.

"Maybe they aren't Kira, Ryuuzaki. Maybe we were wrong." I muttered closing my eyes. I could feel my brother's dull eyes on me.

"Are you giving up? What if it was Kira who took away your father's life? And if I die working on this case then who is to blame?"

Tears started to fill my eyes. I wasn't too fond of the talk of death. I hated it when it was about a family member. I kept my head down as I spoke. "Don't talk like that! You won't die, okay. Everything will be fine." Right now, I wasn't too sure of it.

I rubbed my eyes before standing up and grabbing my coat. "I'm leaving. Call me when you have another lead or when you stop talking about your death." I said the last part while glarring at my brother before I left.

When I reached my hotel Aizawa stood outside my door. "Why are you here?" I asked looking at him questioningly.

"About your discussion with Ryuuzaki. When you took a week off, Ryuuzaki told us how much you meant to him. He his ordered me to look after you."

"I'm eighteen. I can handle myself."

"But your brother is still worried. He would give his life for you."

"And I would give my life for him." I looked around in the hall. "Let's finish this in private." Aizawa nodded.

I pulled out my keys and unlocked the door. As I walked inside, out of the corner of my eyes I spotted something huge and blue. I felt like I had seen it before. Then, it vanished.

"Aizawa," I said sitting my coat down. "Did you just see that?" Aizawa raised a brow at me. I sighed. "Nothing, now, what were you saying about my brother?"

Aizawa took a seat on the couch. I sat down across from him.

"Your brother thinks that since Light is Kira, the closer he is to him the closer he is to finding out your real name."

"I don't care about that. My brother needs me. I don't want him to die."

Aizawa sighed. "I didn't think it would come to this." He muttered before starring back at me. "Ryuuzaki told me that if you got to worried then to take you off the case. I'm sorry, Matsu, but if you try and help us on this case you will be arrested."

"I'm done?"

Aizawa nodded his head apologeticly. "I'm sorry, but it was his orders."

I fumed. "Get out. If my brother wants to risk his whole life then fine, let him. Just make sure you tell him that I never ever  want to see him again."

I clentched my fists as Aizawa silently made his way out of the room. When he was gone, I grabbed a plate and threw it at the wall before letting out a terrorizing scream.

My knees hit the floor before I passed out.

Out went another ragged breathe. I closed my eyes tight before blinking. It was a blur. I couldn't see anything.

One thing that was clear was an arm. It was white and long, like it was part of a skeleton. I struggled to grab that hand. Once I had it, my grip on it tightened.

"Matsu Kai Lawliet, am I right?" A feminame voice asked as it picked me up and sat me on the couch. I groaned in pain as my head started to pound. Images flooded through me. Something called a Death Note.

I closed my eyes tightly and opened them. Seeing more clearly, I stared at the thing that helped me. I slowly nodded my head as an answer to it's question.

"Do you remember?" It asked once more. her green eyes starring at me anxiously. I nodded.

It sighed in relief. "My name is Rem. Listen to me, I never thought I would tell you this, but your brother is in grave danger. Not now, but soon ." then, she vanished before I passed out once more. And this time, I didn't wake up until the next morning.
