Hayan woke up feeling warm, protected and safe. Most importantly she woke up not being scared. As she opened her eyes, she registered the position she was in. Her face was burried in Himchan's chest and his arms were wrapped around her, tightly. She was in a cacoon of safety and it made her feel great.
Carefully she looked up at him. He was snoring quietly and had his eyes shut lightly, even asleep he looked ethereal. Smiling, she carefully brushed a hair out of his face. She hadn't expected him to take care of her this way.
Basking in the peace and quiet, Hayan re-burried her face in his chest. Before she could fully enjoy it, the sound of a phone ringing woke Himchan. One arm untangled itself from it's hold on her and he grabbed his phone.
"Yes, Yongguk?" He asked, morning voice sounding extremely deep in Hayan's ear. The arm around Hayan tightened and she smiled at the feeling.
"So you found out who it was. Good, I'll be down there later. Catch some sleep." Himchan said and hung up, placing his phone back on his nightstand. She watched him run a hand through his hair while unconsciously still holding her.
"Goodmorning." He stated, finally looking at her. "Goodmorning." She said and he shifted himself so he could hold her better. She was worried he would immediately get up and leave, but he didn't. He stayed and rubbed comforting circles on her skin.
"So, I need to get up and ready soon. They figured out who attacked you. Which means that I have some necks to break." He said and Hayan felt bad. He was going through trouble for her, which wasn't necessary in her eyes.
"You don't need to do that." She mumbled into his chest. Himchan felt the pain in her voice. He tilted her chin up, focing her to look at him. He wanted her to understand the way he looked at things.
"I do need to do that, these people tried hurting something that's mine. That's not okay." Himchan sounded agressive, yet the way he claimed her for his made her heart flutter. "Junhong is going to be here soon. He's spending today with you so yesterday doesn't repeat itself." Himchan added and Hayan nodded. Himchan didn't know what possessed him to do what he did. Maybe it was an automatic thing, or the mundane feeling she gave him, but he surprised them both.
He leaned down and pecked her lips quickly. It was over too fast for her to register what happened, but it left them both wide eyed and dazed, There was an awkward silence and Himchan quickly got off of the bed.
"I'm going to get ready for work, you should do the same." Himchan hastily said and disappeared into the bathroom. Hayan was left laying on his bed, dazed and confused. She didn't know if it really just happened or not, but she wouldn't have been opposed to it happening again. But it seemed Himchan regretted it, so she pushed the thought out of her head.
Carefully getting up, she left the room to get ready for the day and hopefully distract herself from her thoughts. Himchan heard her leave and felt like punching himself. She was making him weak and he was enjoying it. He couldn't figure out how to tell her that, or anyone. But now he was worried he made things awkward and uncomfortable.
Hayan walked into her bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. She brought a finger up to her lips and touched the soft flesh, before smiling. He kissed her and she like a teenager in a weird way.
Before she could think about it any further, she stripped herself from her pj's and got under the shower. The warm water washed away her thoughts and she now looked forward to her day with Junhong. She liked Junhong the most, he made her feel normal and like she had normal friends. That was a feeling she could appreciate, especially now.
Drying herself off and brushing her hair, she walked to her closet. Deciding on a simple pair of jeans and a grey t-shirt, she got dressed. She took a hair tye from around her wrist and put her hair in a ponytail. Smiling to herself, she went down to the kitchen.
"Make sure nothing happens to her, alright?" Hayan heard Himchan say to who she assumed was Junhong. "I wouldn't dare." Junhong said and Hayan smiled to herself. Carefully she entered the kitchen and captured the attention of both males.
"Goodmorning, Ju-ne." Hayan said, smiling. The younger male tackled her in a hug, making the two of them laugh. Himchan watched with a small grin on his face. He treated Junhong like a little brother and so did she and Himchan appreciated that majorly.
"Feeling better?" Junhong asked and she nodded. Pulling away, she grabbed a mug from the cupboard and poured herself a cup of black coffee. Pulling the cup to her lips, she held eye contact with Himchan. He was looking at her but nothing was being said. All she wanted was for him to pull her aside and tell her that what happened wasn't a mistake.
"You guys don't have too much fun today. Junhong, take her out and about and make sure she stays safe. I'm leaving." Himchan said and waved at them before leaving. As Hayan watched him leave, she filled with disappointment. That didn't go unnoticed by Junhong.
He waited for Himchan to pull out of the driveway before speaking. "Did something happen? That was awkward just to witness." Junhong said and watched her cringe. "Kind of, but I don't really want to talk or think about it." She said and smiled as he wrapped an arm around her. "Well today you don't have to think about anything. We are get to do basically whatever. So I want to feed your hobbies a little bit. I noticed you only really had necessities with you. So, what are your hobbies?" Junhong asked and Hayan nodded in understanding.
She took a moment to think about his question. She hadn't done anything for herself in a long time, she kind of forgot about all of it. She used to love to do anything that she could release her creativity. She loved to draw and take pictures, but she hadn't done it in so long.
"I used to love to draw." She said and he grinned. "Well that settles it then. So I say, we walk around town for a while, pick up some drawing stuff, then we grab lunch and maybe catch a movie after."Junhong suggested and she smiled. She hadn't had a fun day like that in forever. "That sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks June." She said and smiled wider, showing his eye smile very well.
Cheerfully, Junhong extende his hand and she took it. The pair took off to town in his car and listened to music softly. Every now and then, they would exchange looks, causing them to laugh. Hayan hadn't felt that at peace in a long time and she felt like she was a different person from a year ago.
She turned her head and looked at the younger male. "Thank you for being so nice." She said and he felt his ears turn pink. "How could anyone have hurt her?" he thought to himself and grinned at her. "No problemo." He said and redirected his thoughts. Thinking about the way she had been hurt in the past only angered him and she did not need to see him angry.
