She ran her fingers through her hair and massaged her shampoo into her scalp. The shower was the only place she felt normal anymore. Rinsing the soap out of her hair she shut the water off and got out.

Hayan worried for what Himchan had in store for her. Though he had shown kindness before, it didn't ease her nerves any. She wiped the condensation off of the mirror and took a long hard look at herself. "Hayan what did you get yourself into?" She said to herself and sighed. She looked tired, she was tired. She was tired of living like a dog and she was ready for change.

Hayan opened the bathroom door a crack and steam escaped. "Junhong?" She called out and then heard footsteps come up the hall. He paused in front of the door and squeezed his eyes shut, scared he might violate her space. "You can't see anything, you can open your eyes." She laughed and he opened his eyes, his ears turning red.

Her hair was wet and water droplets trickles down the side of her face and neck. He felt rude following the water droplets with his eyes so he focused on hers, scared she'd think he was some kind of pervert.

"Junhong is this breakfast formal or-?"  Hayan paused, waiting for him to fill her in. "Himchan said you'd ask that. He said to wear whatever you feel good in." He said with a goofy grin and Hayan nodded. "You can go sit back down." She told him and then waited for him to be totally out of sight before running to her bedroom.

Her clothing choices weren't vast, but there were a few things she deemed appropriate. She pulled out a knee length, flowy, baby blue skirt and a plain white t-shirt and got dressed. Hayan brushed her hair gingerly and put half of it up in a bun. Not bothering with makeup, she headed for the living room.

"Yeah, Boss. I think she's finished. We'll be headed that way shortly. Bye, boss." Hayan heard as she rounded the corner. Junhong stood up from the couch and looked her up and down, mentally nodding to himself in approval. "You look really pretty, Ms. Hayan." He said and smiled cutely.

If it wasn't for the small age gap, Hayan might have been interested in Junhong. He wasn't unattractive at all. Standing at six foot two with a lean, muscular build he was a nice sight to see. But Hayan couldn't find herself attracted to him.

"Should we go?" Hayan asked after slipping her sneakers on. "Let's go." He said and extended his arm for her to hold. She took it and let him lead her out.

Meanwhile, Himchan paced around the table setup by his pool. "I haven't seen you this nervous since that warehouse raid two years ago." Yongguk stated, watching his friend pace around from a chair. "Why do I keep you around? You only patronize me." Himchan said, leaning on a chair across from Yongguk. His eyes fell down to the food on the table. Eggs, fresh bread, bacon, fruit, etc laid out all for her.

"You keep me around because you need me." Yongguk said, snapping Himchan out of his daze. "I hate when you're right. They should be here soon, right?" Himchan asked and Yongguk laughed. "You are becoming pathetically soft, my man." Yongguk laughed and took a bite of an apple with a smirk.

"Boss, we're here!" Junhong's happy yell disturbed the comfortable silence. It seemed Hayan and Himchan had the same mindset. They were both mentally preparing themselves to see eachother. As Junhong popped through the back door, Himchan shut his eyes for a brief moment. But before he knew it, she was infront of him and in his opinion, way too pretty.

"Glad to see you made it safe. You're a lot more beautiful when you're not crying, though Jongup would beg to differ." Himchan said to Hayan and smiled when pink dusted her cheeks. "I'd say thank you, but considering one of your men broke into my apartment and saw me half naked, I'm not going to." She said and Himchan frowned, looking past her to Junhong.

"Is this true?" Himchan asked him Hayan noticed Junhong's ears turn pink. "Sorry, kid. Didn't mean to get you in trouble." Hayan said and placed a comforting hand on his arm. The gesture didn't make Himchan jealous, it only made her more endearing. "You're not in trouble, you followed orders. Sorry for the inconvenience, Hayan." Himchan said and took her hand in his much larger one. The gesture made goosebumps flow up Hayan's arm and she blushed. "Please take a seat." He lead her to the table and pulled out a chair for her.

Yongguk exchanged glances with Junhong, mildly judging the exchange. They both didn't know what angle working, or if there even was an angle. Maybe it was just a stupid little crush. Either way, Yongguk and Junhong were worried for their friend.

Himchan took a seat across from her and gestured for Junhong to sit down as well. Hayan didn't know what to feel, she was scared but not like before. She wanted Himchan to get to his point, it was making him anxious.

"I'd hate to be rude. Especially to the person who gave me forty thousand dollars. But why did you bring me here?" Hayan asked, popping a grape in her mouth. "You're smart to be skeptical. I wish more people were. But don't worry, I'm not going to take anything from you or hurt you. I'm tired of people like you getting stepped on. I should know, I used to be like you." Himchan said, only making her more confused than before.

"I had Youngjae check your life out further. Nine years ago a police report was filed against your father, by one of your teachers. You went to school numerous times with extreme bruising. Your father beat you for years." Himchan stopped upon seeing Hayan's displeased face. "What does that matter, it was nine years ago? What do you want from me?" Hayan choked out. Himchan felt bad for her reaction, but bringing up the past was necessary to get the point across.

"I don't want anything from you. I want to help you. Now the point to my story, I know it's hard reliving the past. Most of your family is gone, except for your father. You just avoided all contact with him since you were fifteen. You've been all alone ever since. Aren't you tired of being alone?"
