Hey guys, what up?
So this will be a kinda long Authors Note, just basically talking about the book. Now initially, my goal was to create each member of EXO, or at least Baekhyun, in the book just like how they are in real life - however, after Chapter 3 (Revenge Regret), I realized that I made him much more manlier. How I picture Baekhyun in real life, is this fun, loving character who just loves to be silly and joke around with the other members. While in the book, he's going to come off much more independent then that. My inspiration for his character actually came from another fanfiction I read on Wattpad. It's called "Not My Type" and is done by byunliight . Honestly, I think it's an amazing book, that kind of really draws the readers in, and make them wanna keep reading. Is why I made my Baekhyun character, a little similar. You should actually go check it out if you haven't, because if you love EXO, and are a Baekhyun fan like myself, I'm sure you'd enjoy it just as much as I did.
Another thing is that I'm going to have to make some of the members mean in the book too, just to create balance and tension, so that the book has a drive or an "obstacle" to overcome for the protagonist (Brook). I'm going to try to create some characters like they are in real life, but I'm not too sure at the moment.
Oh another thing! I'm kind of going off real life too at the moment... so I'm Chapter 3, you may realise that Lay isn't there, and that's because he's in China, which Brook will discover later on in the book, when Lay comes back. I'm gonna make it so Lay kinda makes a fuss and tries to - maybe this isn't the best word but - ruin things between Brook and the other members, as by the time he comes back, Brook has created a bond with almost every member.
Other books where I've grabbed inspiration from, or at least scenarios from, are from two other fanfictions I've read... which are: "Slave" by seabootay and "Punishing a Teaser" by smuttress . Again, some really great books that I think you'll enjoy and should go check out once you have the chance.
