"Stop right there, street mouse!" A young girl, holding a loaf of bread underneath her arms, skidded to a halt on top of a building. She nearly dropped the bread, as she looked behind her to the guards, the lead one pulling his sword from its sheathe. "I'll...I'll have your hands for a trophy stand!"

"All this just for a loaf of bread?" The girl asked, looking between the bread and the guards. "I would say, maybe I shouldn't do this anymore...." She paused for a moment, before shaking her head. "Nah. Still gotta eat." Before the guards could do a thing, the girl jumped from the building, landing on several clothes lines.

Eventually, she managed to, land somewhat softly in a pile of fallen clothes, with a yellow piece of cloth still wrapped around her. She glanced up, grinning at the guards still on the roof. Suddenly, she heard a few laughs behind her. Some of the local women were watching on, looking rather amused indeed. The girl scrambled back up, grabbing a purple towel and drawing it around her head like a head scarf.

"Good morning, ladies!" She said, as if she was trying to blend in with them. The women just laughed some more, with one of the older ones shaking her head slightly.

"Getting into trouble a bit early today, aren't we, Aladdin?" She asked. The girl, Aladdin, just gave a small laugh, throwing aside the towel.

"Trouble? Not yet." Aladdin said, grinning slightly. "And besides, you're not in trouble unless you get caught." She turned, only to have the head of the guard, Razoul, grab her as she accidentally ran into him.

"Now I've got you!" He growled, leaning in close.

"Okay, now I'm in trouble!" She said, flinching back slightly. Before Razoul could do another thing, his turban was pushed over his eyes. A small monkey was sitting on his head, chattering in amusement.

"Nice one there, Abida." Aladdin said, giving the monkey a small salute. Abida gave a big grin, even tipping the small little hat she wore. Razoul pushed his turban back up, sending Abida onto the ground. "C'mon, time for us to get going!" Aladdin ran past the head guard, grabbing her friend as she ran.

Gotta keep
One jump ahead of the breadline
One swing ahead of the sword
I steal only what I can't afford!
And that's everything.

She ducked into the marketplace, ducking underneath a stall's counter, watching as the guards ran past. Abida gave a small chatter, snickering as she too watched the guards rush past. Unfortunately, a good portion of the guards heard her and alerted the others. Before they knew it, Aladdin had already run off once more with Abida in tow.

"One jump ahead of the lawmen. That's all." She said, ducking as one of the guards threw his sword at her. The sword landed with a thunk in a wooden pole, sending the wooden structure above them shaking. "These guys don't appreciate I'm broke!" She got an idea, letting Abida climb onto her back as she quickly scaled the whole thing, even kicking down a barrel of God-knows what that was stored on the wooden thing.

"Riffraff! Street rat!" The guards yelled, as the barrel broke and washed a liquid none could recognize all over them. "Scoundrel! Take that!" Aladdin made it to the top, leaning against a pole while holding up the bread loaf.

"Just a little snack guys!" The entire thing began to shake, nearly throwing Aladdin off of it entirely.

"Rip her open! Take it back guys!" The guards below yelled. Aladdin shrugged, faking some kind of dramatic fall off of the building. However, Abida was right there to catch her before she actually did fall, throwing and following her into a building.

"I can take a hint, gotta face the facts." She said, landing inside the building with her friend on her shoulder. "You're my only friend Abi!"
