The ship's anchor had wedged itself into the rocks below, firmly cementing itself among the rocky waves. A few sailors on board set off a few fireworks, as cheery music faintly drifted through the air. Aaron finally surfaced a few miles away from the boat, blinking slightly as one of the fireworks exploded mid-air, casting a hash glow across the waves suddenly.

"Woah....An actual human ship!" He said as Freckles emerged right next to him. "I've never seen one so close up before!"

"Aaron, tell me next time you plan on swimming off like that! Now what's so--" Valentina scolded as she surfaced as well, only to yelp and jump out of the water for a moment. "Jumpin' jellyfish, you can't be serious!"

"If you're going to be like that, then just stay here." Aaron snapped back, not taking his eyes off of the boat. "I'm getting closer." And just like that, he dived back underwater, swiftly moving through the sea to the ship and leaving behind Valentina and Freckles easily. Neither of them tried to go after him either, as they didn't want to go near the ship. They had heard the horror stories of those who go too close to the ships after all.

Once he got closer, the merman pulled himself up higher using the anchor's rope, settling into a small platform right next the main deck, a perfect little window exactly at his height. He pushed his hair out of his eyes, looking through the sea of legs. There seemed to be some kind of party going on, judging by the laughter, bright music, and the almost deafening sound of feet stomping along to the beat. A large hairy creature ran among the sailors, barking happily at them and darting in between dancers.

That is, until she caught an unusual scent. Almost immediately afterwards, she stuck her nose to the ground and wound her way through the crowd, eventually reaching the tiny little window Aaron had found for himself. Terrified, Aaron pulled his head back, taking in a few deep breaths before peeking once more. The thing was right there, panting heavily with what Aaron could only guess was a grin upon her face. And, nearly making Aaron yelp, she licked him, getting drool everywhere in the process.

"Mack! Mack, c'mere girl!" A woman suddenly shouted from the deck, making the thing, Mack, nearly bump its head on the wooden beam above out of pure excitement. Rubbing the spot she had licked, Aaron peeked back around as Mack raced towards whoever had called her. It was a human woman, black hair pulled back into a ponytail using red ribbion. She didn't wear anything different than the other sailors, choosing to wear a white shirt and navy blue pants, and boots as well. Mack jumped onto her, barking and sometimes pulling at the woman's sleeves, trying to lead her towards Aaron, or he could only guess.

"Geez, you're really energetic today, aren't you?" The woman asked, laughing slightly as she ruffled the creature's fur in an attempt to calm her down. "Easy there, girl. Easy there!" Aaron felt heat slowly rising to his face just watching this woman. Why? What on earth was even going on, why would this just happen out of the blue suddenly?

"Yo, A-A-ron!" He nearly fell back, recovering as Henrietta flapped down to him, grinning widely. "Quite the party, eh? Nearly got hit by one of their whizzbangs on my here too! These are the most....explode-y that I've ever seen!"

"Hen, keep it down!" Aaron said, putting a finger to his mouth quickly. "Otherwise they'll hear you!" Henrietta flapped there for a moment, as if processing the information before she gave a rather loud squawk of understanding.

"OOOOOOH! I get it, I got you, Aaron!" She said, landing next to him. "We've gotta be quiet, sneaky. WE'RE ON A MISSION OF DISCOVERY, LOOK OUT WORLD! WE'RE--" Aaron grabbed her beak, instantly silencing her before she could shout any louder and draw any more attention to them.

"I've never seen a human this close up before." Aaron eventually confessed, looking back at the humans, and specifically the woman he had seen earlier. "...Do you see that one over there? She's really beautiful....probably the prettiest girl I've ever seen...." Henrietta followed his gaze, frowning slightly as her eyes landed on the creature rather than the woman.
