As the time goes by, Alex and I grew closer to each other. Frequent visits to her house, meeting her parents, late night calls and constant texting each other. And the day when she asked me to be her special one was one of the happiest days of my life. I feel like a man who knows no sadness that time.
Dad got me a Kawasaki for me to move around. An ER-6n. He got promoted the other day so that means he's gonna be a lot more busy and not be able to send me anywhere and also the fact I got my motorcycle license already. Although I already own the Kawasaki, I didn't go out that much. I'm still the boy who keeps his arse at home.
A week later on a Saturday night. Alex called wondering if I could have dinner at her place. Yes, of course I said yes. Which boyfriend says no, right? On with my best shirt, navy blue jeans, and again my Vans comes into the picture. Put on my leather jacket and my helmet, and I rode into the night with the supersonic-like sound of my Kawasaki crushing the silent sounds of the dark night. While riding a text came that forces me to stop on the roadside. Who knows It might be important right? Might be from Alex saying she has to cancel the dinner. And guess who is it? That's right. Juliette.
"Hey babe. I'm sorry. I can't attend the dinner tonight. Something came up. I'm really sorry. I'll promise I'll make it up to you okay?" You can hear the disappointment in her voice. But what really bothers me is the text Juliette sent. "Can you come to my place for a while? I have something important to tell you." What was so important that she has to tell me tonight? On second thought, why did I even bother? She didn't even reply my calls nor texts. I pushed the thoughts aside and turned the accelerator to move faster.
On the speed o 120 km/h, I reached her place in less than 10 minutes. I parked in front of Juliette's house. There was no car in the car porch and the lights are off. "Is this a joke or something?," I thought to myself. Suddenly, the car porch lights are turned on. A figure came out. It was Juliette. "You looked like you're going on a date. And nice bike," she gave her compliments. "Well I was about to but then you texted me out of the blue," I gave a sarcastic reply with a smirk. She gave me the surprised look and said, "Oh! I'm so sorry!" "Nah, it's okay. So what so important? And where in the world have you been? You weren't replying my texts and calls." She hesitated. "Jules, what's wrong?," I said sensing something was not right.
"Emma, I like you, okay!," she shouted to my face in complete anger and sadness. "You like me? Oh now you want to like me? Wow, thanks Jules. You're a real heartbreaker aren't you? First, it was Drew. Then the kiss. Then you didn't even replied a single call or text of mine. And now you wanna tell me your feelings towards me?! I have a girlfriend now, Jules! Damn it, why now, Juliette? Why not sooner?," I replied too with complete anger and sadness. Tears were rolling down her cheeks. "Oh man. Juliette, don't cry," I tried to comfort her and giving her a hug but she refuses. "Get away from me." She pushed me gently and said again, "Get moving Emma. It's late. You don't want your dad to be worried about you." She went inside and I started the bike and move.
I just accelerated the bike to its maximum speed and try to lose myself in the thrill of the speed. Then suddenly a car came out of no where and of course, logically thinking, I tried to avoid it but I lost control of the bike and the bike skidded about 100 metres from me. My head hit the road divider and I gradually lost conciousness,
