A few days later, NARCISSA is laying against LUCIUS outside on the Hogwarts grounds. It is late afternoon, and the sun is shining brightly.

LUCIUS: So they asked you about everything?

NARCISSA: I told you, everything. They suspect that we know. They know that we know. But they have no proof.

LUCIUS: You denied everything, right?

NARCISSA: Of course. I'm a pretty decent liar. I'm a Slytherin, after all. I could even lie to Lord Voldemort, if I needed to.

LUCIUS: Well, that's all that matters, then. (He begins to stroke her hair).

NARCISSA: I miss her so much, Lucius.

LUCIUS: I know. But you'll see her again soon, don't worry. You can sneak away from your parents, you can come to my place over the summer if you want, it'll be fine.

NARCISSA: (looking up at him) You mean it?

LUCIUS: Of course.

NARCISSA kisses LUCIUS for a few seconds, then rests back against him, gazing out over the lake.

NARCISSA: Everything's going to change now.

LUCIUS: Not everything. Not us.

LUCIUS grasps NARCISSA'S hand, and together the two remain at peace.
