"Two more hours until this year's Purge begins."

My right eye twitched as I watch the television. I can't wait to kill those bastards, I've waited for a year to finally get this chance, and I'm not letting this chance go.

"Aspen... calm down."

I snapped my head towards Mabel, who had placed her hand on my upper arm. She slowly opened my hand that were clenched in a tight fist, revealing four purplish nail marks.

"I am calm, Mabel. I'm still calm, but tonight, you won't recognize me." I told her, my voice is cold and monotone, but haunting and dark as well.

"I don't think my attention will be yours when I kill that guy with my bare hands, Aspen." Mabel told me, her voice as dark and haunting as mine.

We've been waiting for this day, tempting everyday, every week, every month, every hour, every minute and every second. What they have done is cruel and undeniably unforgivable.

"Come on, let's get ready. We have two more hours until we Purge." Mabel told me quietly as she tugs my arm.

I nodded and we both head to the exit of the café. I gripped the plastic bag of donuts in my hands as a few skaters skate, wolf-whistles and call us inappropriate nicknames. I glared at one of them, and so did Mabel.

"Assholes." I muttered under my breath.

As I bite onto one of the chocolate donuts, I loaded a clip of a mini-uzi with bullets. I had just finished loading the revolvers, pistols and MP5K's. Mabel is sharpening the combat knives, swiss knives and daggers.

I took gun lessons when I was sixteen, considering that my dad was a cop and so was my mom. My parents taught me and my younger sister how to shoots guns, and that's why I'm pretty great with guns.

Mabel, on the other hand, had took dagger classes when she turned fourteen. She was an A student when it comes to knife combats, I've watched her battle with knives, and apparently, nobody has beat her when it comes to knife combats.

I glanced at the wall clock that was hung beneath the tv. "Two more minutes." I said out loud, smirking a little.

Get ready you soulless monsters. You're about to have dozens of bullets in your heads and stab wounds in your hearts.

I guess I should tell why Mabel and I have this much urge to Purge this year.

Back then, just last year, Mabel and I were normal collage freshmen. We hid with our families whenever it was Purge day, and we remained safe. Until last year, my sister, her name was Ashanti, and Mabel's sister, her name was Mara, didn't make it home because Purge had started.

They were on their way home, just from school, when Ashanti's car broke down. She called mom about it, and it was only fifteen minutes left before the Purge starts. Dad and Mabel's father wanted to go after them, but both of their cars' tires had holes in each in every one of the tires.

They kept saying that they'll make it, that Ashanti and Mara would make it, but deep down, we all knew that they won't. Especially, when the siren rang all over the neighborhood, and when Ashanti called me an hour after that. Her voice was shaky, I knew she was crying.

She was calling out for help, and so was Mara as well. Mabel and I both cried with each other when we heard them scream, cry and beg for those men who held them. But those men only laughed at them, telling them "don't worry, you'll enjoy this", followed by both of our sisters screaming for help and begging for those filthy pigs to stop.

Dad, mom and Mabel's parents weren't like me and Mabel. Instead of staying home, being safe and ignoring the fact that their family needs help, they all took after them. Mabel and I tried to stop them, we desperately tried to, but we didn't won.

In the morning, after the Purge, Mabel and I received the news that our family... were murdered.

The familiar sound of the siren shook me out of my thoughts, my mind cleared and it was only set on one thing. I smirked.

"Get ready to be Purged, Byron Hesme and Mario Laoz."

Byron Hesme and Mario Laoz, were the two filthy pigs and soulless monsters, who raped our sisters to death and shot our parents dead.
