I dedicate this chapter to Daisukto

Inojin wasn't sure what to think of the current situation he's gotten himself into. Sure, he was near the location of Himawari's distress call- but he never thought that in the twelve years he'd lived and a week of training the Yamanaka Art with his mother (refer to Chapter One) would he ever dare tweak the said Mind Transfering Jutsu.

"Yay! Go, Inojin-nii!!!" Himawari cheered, forgetting her fear. Somewhere in her heart, she believes that her Inojin-nii can beat them.

He's too much like his father in mind aspect... is what he thinks. Don't blame the poor boy, he didn't think he'd ever send half his consciousness to the man named... Bascule? Or was it Basten? Bastin? Bastein?... Ah, whatever. Yeah, and he used the said man to extract information on the enemies that dared harm his Sunflower- wait - Since when did the ten years old girl became his? He shook of the thought - Oh, Boruto's gonna skewer him if he finds out.

Exhausting the technique may be, it was worth it; a little bit of exhaustion won't stop him from protecting what's important to him.

"You brat! What the heck did you do?!" After he was done gathering every details he could get, he released the man immediately, who instantly went gaga and was currently screeching his head off with profanities.

"It'd be wise if you would kindly close your mouth, sir. Unless you want it to be sewn; your foul language is unneeded at the moment and never will. If you want, I can do it for you." Inojin's smile turned to be emotionlessly and devilishly sweet - like his father's and his mother's.

"And what did I do? Oh, I did nothing really. You didn't saw it?" And so, he is scared of himself, like, literally. He wasn't this battlefield formal! Sure, he can be shy at most times and can't say a sentence like Boruto can, but... did he just deliver a polite sarcasm, or was he imagining it? ... Why did that statement sounded familiar?

"Why... you!" Seething with anger, Bastein charged at the boy whose shy personality turned 180 degrees.

Inojin knocked him out with a little effort that left himself surprised. What did he just do?

But it wasn't over; that Bascule-guy managed to call for back-up or they were here for a different purpose.

"Inojin-nii... I'm worried about Mitsuki-niichan." Himawari stood close to Inojin with her Byakugan active; her panic from before hindered her from doing such.

"I'm not really that close to him but... I know he's strong. He will make it; he'll be okay, Himawari." He assured the young girl and took a battle stance once more. "Stay on your guard."

"Hai!"

As the unknown assailants charged towards them, Inojin's timid personality went to the grave the moment the said assailant took Himawari hostage; He knew he couldn't do a thing now.

"Inojin!"

* * *

Boruto and the others instantaneously sprinted to the area where they heard Himawari's scream; not caring if they bumped into the other villagers. All they care is that they have to reach Himawari before anything happens to her.

'Kami-sama, God, Buddha, or any deity up there, please let someone - anyone! - get to Himawari and save her!' Boruto pleaded in his mind as he forced his legs to go even faster.

Sarada was worried for the little girl and for Boruto. The Hyūga-Uzumaki boy is very protective of his sister and wouldn't hesitate on anything involving the safety of the said sister. She was worried he might blow up or permanently get injured if he keeps on pushing himself.

Upon their arrival, they didn't expect Inojin to be there. But they were horrofied for one thing; they never really saw Inojin so VERY serious. So, seeing an Inojin with a timid personality that was buried to the grave, they didn't know what to think.

"Inojin!" Oh well, at least Boruto was the one who snapped them out.

Sarada was the first one to back away and hold Boruto down. "What the- Sarada?!"

"Shush! Didn't you remember what Mom said when Ino-san gets mad? What if it's the same with Inojin?" She hissed to him

Both gulped at the thought of Inojin's mother's wrath. They saw Ino got angry when Inojin was about five and forever engraved it in their memory. Well... the Yamanaka woman really did lived up to her name.

Inojin didn't bother turning to his companions. Instead, he fished out a tanto from the numb, unmoving body near him. It may not be like the short sword like the one his father gave him, but it was worth it.

"Take one more step and I'll slit this brat's throat!"

Inojin raised a brow and gave the the man a close-eyed smile. "Okay."

In that short moment, Ino saw what her future son is capable of. Dropping the tanto, unseen to the eyes of their attacker, he possessed the body of the unconscious Bastein. To the eyes of their enemy, it looks like as if the boy was knocked out by Bastein.

Everything happened in an instant. The timid boy threw a senbon that manage to concuss the only enemy left. Inojin (in Bastein's body) sighed with relief, "I manage to stall time, I guess..." 'I used too much chakra...'

The children, Himawari, and the teens rushed to the fallen boy. Ino cradled her son. "Chakra exhaustion."

The others let our the breath they didn't know they've been holding. "Damn, who would have thought Inojin can fight like that." Boruto awed.

"It may be because Sai-san taught him to." Shikadai said

"For the time being, take their (enemy) bodies for interrogation." Shikamaru yawned now that the tension's gone.

Away from prying eyes, cloaked figures watched the group with gaze that looked proud. I wonder who they are...

Took too long. I know.
Short. I'm sorry.
I'm having writer's block.
To help me have more ideas, can anyone pm me what happened starting from episode 11 to the current episode? Because I want to know more about the Boruto generation. Thank you.
