I was confused on what was happening and about what Y/n said about my family why would she know anything but I just followed her instructions we ended up outside my parents company I didn't know who was running it rn she walked in like she owned the place and everyone stopped and looked at us she said "everyone this is Lauren jauregui she is their kid but unlike you guys she doesn't know the truth so please just treat her with respect " They said "yes boss" I was shocked she's the one that own and is running the company rn instead of me we got to her office we sat down in silence she said "go ahead I can see it on your face you have questions" I said "okay what do you mean the truth about my family" she sighed and said "do you remember how you got told your parents got in a car crash" I said "yeah why?" She said "that car crash wasn't an accident it was on purpose" I said "why would anyone wanna kill my parents?" She said "what do you think your parents did for work?" I said "they own and ran this company didn't they?" She said "yes they did but this company was just a cover you see your parents they were actually gang leaders of the red demon gang they were strongest and biggest gang in the world they have bases all over the world but no one knew everyone working in this company is part of the gang I was their second in command when they died they left me a letter they told me that you didn't know anything about what they actually did and that until you turned 18 I take care of the company and the gang. You see no one knew you existed because they wanted to protect you but somehow someone found out about you" I was shocked by all of this she said "do you remember at school when I said you were off limits?" I said "yeah why?" She sighed and said "Lauren the day your parents died was the day my job started Lauren you may not like me but I've been protecting you for 5 years and you didn't even know it's a rule in our school that your off limits I watch you from a distance to make sure your safe because I don't wanna disappoint your parents it's hard but I've been doing it for 5 years I'd give my life for you I know you don't like me and that's fine not everyone does you don't have to just know that I'm the reason no one has touched you or bullied you for 5 years" I was shocked she was the reason I was safe she looking out the window i saw a tear roll down her cheek before I could do anything she wiped it away and said "drew take her home please and make sure she's safe" he said "okay" and we left before I got out of his car he said "hey Lauren?" I said "yeah?" He said "be careful please i know you don't like any of us or y/n but please be careful y/n hasn't got proper sleep in the last 5 years I know you don't understand but all she ever thinks about is you and protecting you it's her reason for living there's been many nights where she'll cry herself to sleep because she's worried about failing you and your parents. They are times she'll be sleeping and then she'll wake up screaming she won't let anyone near her she'll just curl in a ball and bawl her eyes out and all we could make out of it is that she had a dream you died. She may look tough and cold hearted but everything everyone says about her affects her she's been wanting to tell you for the last 5 years what's been happening but she wasn't aloud and it broke her even more it's okay not to like us and it's okay not to like y/n just be careful for us but tomorrow at school pretend like everything is normal please no one can suspect a thing goodnight Lauren" he drove away I was shocked about what he said about y/n I thought she had everything when in reality she's protecting everything she has left to live for and that's me
