"Ashton, you can't keep paying. Call. Right now." Luke looked at me

I slowly picked up my phone and called.

"Hello, Verizon Wireless, this is Kathy speaking. How may I help you?"

I sniffed, before speaking

"Hi, I would like to deactivate a phone that's on my plan right now." My voice broke at the end, and luke put his hand on my arm.

"Alright sweetie, can I have your account number and password?"

I gave her the information needed, and soon she was in.

"Alright, and which phone would you like to deactivate?"

"The one under the name Empire Matthews."

Once the call was finished, I sat for a couple of minutes, trying to process what I just did. I slowly picked up the phone and dialed her number, only to be met with

"We're sorry, your call could not be completed as dialed. Please check the number, and try again."

That I did. This time, it was different.

"We're sorry, this number is no longer in use."

I slammed my phone down.

"Fuck!" I yelled

Empire, why did you leave?
