I pull out my phone and swipe up to answer the phone call.

"Hey Sam, I got a call for someone to go and interview Carlos Correa about his thumb update. It's a hour before their game today. One o'clock actually. Please cover it and immediately report back with a completed interview. "

"No problem Mrs. Leigh, I'll get it done right away."

"Good. We want to get that information out sooner than anyone else. I'm counting on my best reporter for this one."

I grin, "Alright. I'll be on it as soon as possible."

"Thanks Samantha. Also, congratulations on your new relationship."

I hear George snicker behind me and quickly slap his shoulder to shut him up. I blush a little, "Oh, um, thanks?"

George grins, "You're very lucky to have her Mrs. Leigh. She's a very amazing and wonderful woman and a reporter."

I pull the phone away from my face and turn to George.

"I'm on a business call!"

"Oh Sam it's alright. I'm glad to know that he thinks of you very highly like he should."

George chimes, "Oh don't worry Mrs. Leigh, I treat her like the queen she is. She's amazing and I'm very happy to have her in my life."

"That's good. I'll let Sam get ready for the interview."

I quickly say thank you and hang up. I spin around on my heel and widen my eyes at George. "George! That's my boss!"

He gives a small smile, "I just wanted wanted her to know how amazing you are. That's all."

I sigh knowing he had good intentions, "I just don't want to lose my job."

He frowns, "I'm sorry. I forgot that it's one of your biggest fears."

I nod, "Yeah."

We stay silent for a good while until George breaks the silence.

"What do you think about Jake?"

I furrow my brows confused, "Jake?"

He nods, "Yeah, like, what do you think about him."

Hesitant and confused I finally answer, "Well, I think he's a funny and sweet guy that's very cool. Overall, he's an amazing guy."

George shuts his eyes tightly and opens them. He forces out his words, "Do you like Jake?"

I widen my eyes fully understanding what he's been trying to tell me. I hold his face in my hands and tell him, "You're the only one I love George. Why do you doubt that?"

He shakes his head a little, "I don't want you to leave."

"Neither do I."

"Are you going to leave me?"

"I don't want to and I'll try my hardest not to George."

He nods and rests his forehead against mine letting our noses barely brush against another. He turns his head to give me a careful kiss. Like he doesn't want to lose me. Like he doesn't believe I'm even here. Like I'm special. Like I'm fragile. Like I'm his. Forever.
