"I'll get her for saying that about my dad." I hissed as me and Finnick sat in Rosie's room

Rosie yawned "Okay, I'm going to sleep now I swear?"

She was on the phone to Peeta. Katniss was on board somewhere, but only I was allowed to see her tomorrow at training just like how my mum was on board somewhere and I wasn't allowed to see her at dinner: it was one rule they had kept- even for a six year old little girl. Not allowing a little girl to see her own mother. How horrible is that?

"Lily,"

"Yeah?"

"Will you and Finnick stay here with me?"

"Of course we will." Finnick nodded leaving the room for a second

"OK. Thank you." She mumbled snuggling beneath the covers. He came back with our own bedding and we attempted to lie it out on the floor.

"Is this not bad for your legs?"

I shrugged "Arena practice I guess? Sleeping on the ground?"

He chuckled "Maybe?"

There was a gentle knock on the door. Finnick opened it and smiled, standing aside.

Katniss crept in and stroked Rosie's face, tucking her in and kissing her head. We heard the door creak in the corridor and Finnick hid Katniss in the en-suite. We waited. An Avox hovered in the doorway. She smiled at us, nodded at the bathroom, winked, and carried on. Finnick breathed a sigh of relief and opened the door.

"See you later and...Thanks for looking after her."

"It's okay."

She handed me a sack "Haymitch told me to give you this?" She said slowly

"Oh, the stuff I wanted- thanks."

"What's in there?" Finnick asked

"None of your business?"

Katniss giggled "What's in the bag Lily?"

"Why do you both want to know?"

"Well, what could your dad send you besides goose feathers and a hip flask?" Finnick teased

I pulled out the first thing "One of my mom's hair bows,"

The second "My dad's old shirt- I'm going to wear them both in the arena: then I have pieces of them with me." I felt something in the pocket and pulled out a feather- it must've gotten in the wash.

"Awwww." Finnick teased

I shoved him playfully "Shut up."

Katniss giggled then thoughtfully unzipped her jacket and placed her mockingjay pin on the table beside her daughter.

"Night guys?" She mumbled

"Night." We both replied as the door slowly closed

"See," I said to Finnick "It makes sense to Katniss too!"

I paused "What's your token?"

He lifted a chain around his neck "The chain's my dad's, the ring's my mom's."

"Oh right." I raised my eyebrows

He smiled "Yeah well?"

I giggled and mumbled "This was my grandma's...My dad gave it to me today." I stroked the butterfly between my fingers.

"Is that what you're going to be now?"

"What'd you mean?"

"Well, aunty Katniss was the girl on fire so, you gonna be butterfly girl or something?" He chuckled

"No?" I giggled until I was muted a by a yawn "Night?"

"Night?"

I laid down next to him "If I scream I'm sorry?"

"At least when we're in the arena it'll make it easier for me to take you out." He said, laughing softly "Night?"

Oh thanks Finnick, like that won't give me nightmares or anything!

I woke up. A hand cupped over my mouth- there he was about to kill me.

I woke up. A hand cupped over my mouth- there he was telling me to be quiet before I woke Rosie then frantically asking me if I was okay holding me close and stroking my hair. it was too close to me for us to be just friends. I knew which Finnick I perfered: It was the one who was about to kill me.
