I jumped startled. The lightning crashed outside. My dad had gone. I wanted to look for him, make sure he was alright. I wasn't meant to get out of bed. But, honestly now, would anyone see me at this time of night?

I decided to brave it. I pulled at my legs so I sat up with them hovering over the floor. My mom had brought me some slippers for my first physio since the games tomorrow morning. I put my feet to the cold clinical matting and staggered a little before breaking into a sort of marching sprint to be sure I wasn't actually going to fall flat on my face. I'd have to leave the slippers as they were a getting-caught-through-falling-over hazard. I crept down the ward, and even managed to stand in the lift without collapsing. But, I had been seen.

"I knew they'd have to chain you to the bed before you plotted an escape?"

I turned and smiled, wobbling a little.

"Don't come to me butterfly, I'll come to you." Finnick said gently, coming over to me and wrapping his free arm around me tightly- his other was bandaged in a sling...covered in flowers, sunshines, clouds, butterflies, mockingjays, and stars. He saw me looking at it funny and muttered "Rosie got bored."

"Oh." I giggled

The actual knot wasn't drawn on- you could see faint lines where she'd tried.

"Here." He chuckled handing me a pen

I stretched the knot a little and inked a lily in the centre.

"Tadaa." He sang as I handed him the pen back.

"Shut up." I murmured

"Yeah Lil, I'm glad your not dead too?" He teased

"Once again, shut up." I said grinning

"So, err, your mom came to see me? That was...scary."

I giggled "Yeah, my dad was saying."

He nodded "She is scary when she's angry."

I nodded "Yup."

He gently carssed my cheek- until-

"Well, are we interuppting something?"

He let go sharply and we both turned and saw my dad and Peeta stood there, grinning at us both.

"Get back to bed you two or your mom will kill you- and me." My dad said firmly

"Right...Come on Finn." I agreed pulling him along with me going red in the face

He helped me into bed and kissed me on the cheek "Night?"

"Finnick,"

"Yeah?"

The lighting died away in the shadow of rain

"Stay here please."

He nodded "Alright."

"Your mom okay?" I asked as he got into the bed beside me

"Yeah, she's been having one of those days where she mutters to herself-" He shrugged "Then she catches me watching her and goes all embarassed."

I smiled "I love your mom."

"Yeah, so do I weirdly enough?" He chuckled

You know what I mean." I said firmly

"I know- anyway- we both have long days tomorrow crammed with physio- Night!"

I snuggled into his open arms "Night?"

I woke back up "Oh! I forgot."

"What?"

"I have an ultrasound tomorrow too."

"Well then, so do I."

I nodded smiling "Yeah- you do."

We spent the rest of the time we were awake debating whether to find out what we were having or not.
