"There's my McDreamy!" Aurora exclaims, grinning as Jonah comes out of the bathroom, dressed in his Halloween costume which consisted of Navy blue scrubs that matched hers. "But I think you're missing something."

With the Halloween party starting in less than an hour, the girls had been running themselves ragged, barely leaving Aurora any time to think about her throbbing headache and runny nose.

"Nope," Jonah shakes his head adamantly. "It took too long to fix my hair to your liking. I am not letting you put that hat on me!"

"It's not a hat," Carmen corrects, readjusting her Minnie Mouse ears. "It's a cap."

"It's Derek Shepherd's ferry boat cap! You have to wear it," Aurora argues, stomping her foot. "Blondie, tell him he has to we-"

The doorbell rings, cutting her off. She freezes, sharing a look with Daniel before both of them simultaneously sprint down the hallway.

"Daniel!" Carmen shrieks, jumping away. "You can't mess up your makeup!"

Daniel glances back, tripping over his own feet as he does so. Aurora smirks triumphantly as she reaches the door first.

"You cheated!" The boy protests, still laying on the floor.

"You did that to yourself, genius," she sticks her tongue out, throwing the front door open dramatically to greet the early guest.

"Holy Cheez-its," she gasps, openly staring at the handsome man. "You're Thomas Sangster."

"Yeah," the actor chuckles, his British accent evident. "You must be-"

"Currently single, as far as you're concerned."

"No, she is not!" Jonah chimes in, jumping over the still fallen Daniel to reach her side. "She has a boyfriend."

"Really?" Aurora raises an eyebrow. "Because if I did, he'd be wearing the ferry boat cap."

"You two can argue later," Jack interjects from the living room. "Let the poor guy get through the door first."

"Fuck off, Poodle," she snaps, nevertheless listening and pulling Thomas through the door as Jonah shuts it behind him. "No one asked you."

"Make yourself at home," Carmen greets him, not looking away from her task of repainting Daniel's face. "You're a little early so we have some time before everybody shows up."

Zach grumbles something under his breath, crossing his arms and scooting closer to the girl.

"Who are you supposed to be?" Corbyn, sliding into the room clad in Slytherin robes, questions, scanning the boy's outfit.

"Aurora," Addilyn calls, entering the house in Gryffindor robes with Mr. Quackington dressed as Harry Potter sitting in the palm of her hand. "Did you steal another car? Oh my goodness," her gaze lands on Thomas. "YOU'RE NEWT!"

"Newt?" Callie pokes her head into the room, her hair only half way curled. "He died in the third book," the girl rambles, not yet noticing our guest. "Which is completely unfair. He deserved so much bet- OH MY GOODNESS! NEWT!"

"Jonah," Aurora argues, unsuccessfully trying to wriggle out of his grasp. "You're going to have to let go of my waist at some point tonight."

The Halloween party was in full swing, with the house and backyard completely flooded with tons of celebrities, and Jonah refused to let his girlfriend out of his line of vision.

"Says who?"

"We talked about this last night," she huffs. "Zach is the only one allowed to be this uptight. We all know I can take care of myself if it comes down to it."

"That was before you challenged John Cena to a fight, bound his ankles and wrists in duct tape, blindfolded him, and yelled you can't see me," Jonah points out, hard to be heard over the loud music. "And before you somehow found a way onto the roof and threw Skittles at the people in the backyard, telling them to taste the rainbow. And besides, I still don't like these other guys here."

"Aww," she coos, resting her head on his shoulder. "Is my Jonah worried about competition?"

"What? No," he scoffs, grinning mischievously as his grip slackens. "I'm McDreamy, there is no competition."

"If that's the case," Aurora kisses his cheek before twisting out of his reach. "You shouldn't have a problem with me going to talk to Theo James."

Rounding the corner that leads to the kitchen, she spots the aforementioned person. Pushing through the crowd, she jumps forward, landing on the man's back with a victorious smile.

"Aurora?" He questions with an amused grin, not surprised in the slightest. "Corbyn warned me this would happen at some point tonight."

"And I also just won a bet," Corbyn interjects. "Mr. Quackington owes me five dollars. He said you'd tackle Dylan O'Brien first."

"Actually, you're both wrong," she corrects them. "I tackled Tom Holland a few minutes ago."

"I thought you got to John Cena," a voice Aurora knows like the back of her hand chimes in, causing the color to drain from her face.

She gasps, falling off of Theo's back.

"What's wrong?" Corbyn asks, reaching out to steady her before she can hit the floor. "Aurora, are you okay?"

She doesn't answer, instead glancing around wide eyed, searching for the source of the familiar voice. However, no one else was paying attention to them, each person too focused on their own conversations.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Aurora shrugs the blond's hand off. "I'm just going to. . .go use the bathroom."

Giving her one last worried look, Corbyn nods before turning back to Addilyn and Theo.

Once again fighting her way through the crowd, Aurora hardly pays attention to the people she shoves as she heads towards the stairs, continuing to reason with herself.

"That was not the voice you think it was," she mutters quietly to herself, attempting to find reason in the situation. "The loud noises and music are playing tricks on you.

Reaching the empty hallway upstairs, she pauses, leaning against the wall to compose herself.

"Jonah," she whispers to herself, leaning her head back. "Just find Jonah and everything will be okay."

Something moves out of the corner of her eye, causing her to snap her head in that direction. Standing a few feet away is somebody she never expected to see here.

"Mark," Aurora gasps.

She takes a step forward but the floor rushing toward her face is the last thing she sees before everything goes black.
