"You're awake early," Jonah comments, entering the kitchen. "What's the special occasion?"
"It's a surprise," Aurora winks, moving around the island to fix the coffee. Turning back around, shr notices a weird look on Jonah's face. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," Jonah waves her concerns off with a timid smile. "I was just thinking." She gesture for the boy to continue. "About our relationship."
"Oh," Aurora manage to say, instantly worrying about where this was going. "What about it?"
"We've been dating for two months," he states, "and I've met your parents. We're already living together."
"Do you think we're moving too fast? Because I ca-"
"Aurora, no, it's nothing like that," Jonah reassures her, walking over to her side. It's a rare occurrence to see Aurora letting her insecurities get the best of her, and Jonah will do anything in his power to prevent it. "I love living with you."
Relief floods through her veins and she lets out a breath she didn't realize she was holding.
"It's actually my parents that I wanted to talk about."
"Well, from what you've told me, they sound like wonderful people," Aurora admits, smiling as her other doubts disappear.
"So, you'll meet my parents?" Jonah questions, growing more excited over the current conversation.
"Yeah, how does tomorrow sound?" She replies, not noticing Carmen's appearance.
"Perfect," Jonah grins, pecking her lips as he grabs her waist, spinning her around to face Carmen. "Someone just woke up."
"CARAMEL!" Aurora yells, jumping in her spot. "YOU'RE AWAKE!"
"I am now," Carmen chuckles, glancing at Jonah before she takes a seat at the island. "So, you're meeting the parents?"
"Yep," she confirms, bashfully glancing up at Jonah.
"So, are you guys getting married?" Carmen questions casually, looking between Jonah and Aurora.
"W-what?" She stutters, coughing as she look at Carmen with wide eyes, for once at a loss for words. "Caramel, no."
"And why not?" She raises an eyebrow. "I think you two should totally get married. It may not have been that long since you met, but it's true love, isn't it? Just saying. . ."
"Well," Aurora composes herself, blushing furiously. "So, how would you guys like to go out today?"
"Without Zach?" Jonah asks hesitantly.
"No, Heroin can come," she informs him. "I know he wouldn't let Caramel leave if he didn't get to tag along."
"Where would we be going?"
"I was thinking we should drop by a celebrity's house. . ." Aurora trail off, stirring my coffee with a smirk to draw out the suspense. "I don't know, maybe one that I called and talked to last night. And he most certainly agreed to meeting you."
Who?" Carmen asks, trying to hide her smile.
"Sean James Teale-"
"OH MY GOSH, YOU TALKED TO CONDÈ?" Carmen screeches, moving to her feet quickly. "ZACH, GET UP! I'M GOING TO MEET A PRINCE!"
As the girl moves into the living room with a fast pace, Jonah glances down at me.
"Is he really a prince?"
"He's no Toby Regbo, but he still sure as hell looks like one."
