trampled grass is flooded, push aside the branches and leaves. opening the chipped door to find a lone figure, dancing in the downpour. i watch the wind whip you around, you fall. standing by your side, i see gray sand in your hair, blueberries on your skin. soon i am soaked too. you hand me a tiny shell. i reach down and pull you up, and we stare into the sea. i can not fly with you.

dripping, we walk the trail that led me to you.

a/n: i've always wanted to go out on a beach during rain, it seems like it'd be peaceful
