Chapter 8: Here We Go

So how do you get here under my skin? Swore that I'd never let you back in. Should've known better in trying to let you go 'cause here we go go go again.

It was a Saturday night and I didn't have anything to do. Beau was throwing a party next door and he wouldn't shut the fuck up. I looked at my clock; 1:32. Even though there was going to be a bunch of gorgeous girls there I climbed out my window in my tank top and running shorts and UGG's with my hair in a incredibly messy bun. 

I knocked loudly on the door. Some random chick opened up.

"Excuse me." I said walking right past her.

"Bitch." I heard her snarl. I rolled my eyes. It was Saturday/Early Sunday Morning and I wanted to sleep. I found Beau in the kitchen drinking soda and juice at the same time. 

"Beau!" I yelled.

"What?!" He stopped his drinking, slightly annoyed.

"Can you please be a little quieter? Some people need to go to bed!" I yelled. Damn this music is hurting my ears, I thought. 

"Ok fine! You need to help me get something from Jai and Luke's room!" He yelled back.

"Ugh. Fine. Make it quick though." He gave his cup to some kid and we walked downstairs together. Beau opened the door for me. I was surprised to see Jai in there listening to music. He looked up when he saw us. 

"Ok what did you need?" I asked Beau, trying to avoid Jai's eyes.

"Nothing." He replied. He closed the door and I heard him move something in front of it.

"Beau let me out!" I tried pushing the door open but whatever was in front of it was really heavy. "Ugh!" I slammed my fist into the door. I turned around and slid down the door. 

"I think he did it on purpose." Jai said sliding off his headphones.

"Yup." I answered. Then I noticed something. "The window!" I looked around for a chair to climb up on so I could reach the window. "Can you help me?" I asked Jai.

"No." He answered. I furrowed my eyebrows at him. "I would like to apologize." He said letting his legs hang over the bunk bed.

I climbed up and sat by him.

"I should be the one apologizing." I mumbled.

"I don't know how to say this since I haven't been in an actual relationship but I guess that I loved you so much that I thought when you talked to me that you were going to leave me for Luke. So I kind of left you before you could leave me." He hung his head. 

"Apology accepted." He looked at me and smiled. "I thought that Luke was you. And I was really frusturated that day."

We sat there awkwardly for a minute then I wrapped my arms around his stomach and leaned my head on his shoulder. I was scared that he was going to continue to stare at the wall and not respond to my peace offering but my worries were gone when his arms snaked around my waist and he leaned his head on top of mine. 

"Are we ok?" He asked.

"I would say yes." I answered.

"Does this mean your my affectionate best friend?" He said quietly.

"Do you want me to be?" I replied.

"Yeah."

"Ok. I am happy to say I'm your affectionate best friend."

We sat in silence but it wasn't awkward. We were just enjoying each others company.

I felt his head turn and lightly kiss me on the cheek. It went back to it's position on mine. After a second I turned and kissed his cheek and we went back to our position.

"OMG!" Jai squealed after I kissed him. I giggled and ruffled his hair.

"Wanna play slide?" He asked.

"Sure."

Jai sucked at slide. We could only make it to 10 without him losing track. I found my eyes staring to open and close from tiredness. Jai must've recognized it because the next thing I knew I plopped my head into his lap and instantly fell asleep.

I could only feel him lightly stroking my head.

I woke up to the feel of my head being lifted up and down. I opened my eyes and I saw my head resting on Jai's stomach. His headphones were on his head and his mouth was slightly open. I got out of bed and I saw some dude in Jai's Mom's pink bathrobe.

"The fuck?" I asked myself. The door was open and I walked upstairs. The house was a mess. Soda cans, pizza boxes, broken glass, pieces of clothing, and people were everywhere. I sighed and my natural instinct to clean kicked in. I got a huge trash bag and I started picking up pieces of trash.

"UGHHHHHH CALL THE PRIEST!" I heard someone on the couch yell. I looked over and I saw Beau writhing on the couch.

"Stop being a drama queen." I retorted.

"Did you and Jai get back together?" He asked.

"Yup." I picked up a popped shark balloon.

"Good." He groaned as he got up. As soon as he got up though he tripped over a cord.

"HAHAHAHA!" I laughed as he crawled to the sink.

"Ughhh what's all the fucking noise?" Jai came trudging up the stairs, his eyes half open.

"Haha nothing Beau just tripped." I chuckled.

"Well good morning." He came and gave me a hug then I found ouselves kissing.

"I've missed that." I said when I pulled away.

"Hey you two lovebirds help me clean up!!!" Beau yelled hitting some person knocked out with a broom.

 Under my breath I silently whispered thank you, since I was now back with the person I loved.
